The Whippets rallied from a 2-0 deficit with two outs in the seventh inning to stun the Vikings, 3-2.

With nobody on, West managed to load the bases, setting the table for Jackie Gabel, who blasted a two-run single, scoring Michelle Nardo with the tying run and Lauren Shea with the winning run.

Casey Herring earned the win on the mound after giving up one hit and six walks and striking out 10.

Brooke Harner struck out 14 and earned the win as Kennett edged visiting Octorara, 3-2.

Harner gave up four hits and walked one while Melissa Ruf paced the offense with two singles and a run scored.

Jill Freese cracked a pair of RBI triples and led Oxford to a 4-3 win over visiting Sun Valley. The triples came in the third and fifth innings.

Winning pitcher Cassie Blyler was the beneficiary of a game-saving doubleplay as Downingtown East beat visiting Coatesville.

With runners on second and third and nobody out, the Cougars turned a bunt into an out at first and the return throw nailed a runner at the plate.

Public. Frankford scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and got past visiting Edison, 17-16.

Tayanna Hudson hit a bases-loaded triple to win the game and hit for the cycle with a single, two doubles, a triple, and a three-run homer, good for nine RBIs.

Dana Kilgarriff slapped four singles and drove in seven runs to lift Saul past visiting Southern, 16-15.

Inter-Ac. Alexis Giovinazzo drove in three runs with a double and a triple and boosted Springside past host Germantown Academy, 6-5.

Central. Savannah Nierintz tossed a no-hitter into the seventh inning and led Upper Darby to a 3-0 win over visiting Penncrest.

Nierintz lost the no-hitter with one out in the seventh inning, struck out eight, and walked none.

Sam Esque held Ridley to four hits, struck out seven, and drove in a run in the sixth inning to give Springfield (Delaware County) the lead for good in a 3-0 victory.

Bridget Newman helped herself with a double and a triple as Haverford High beat visiting Radnor, 3-0.

On the mound, she held the Red Raiders to one hit, struck out six, and walked two.

Suburban One Continental. Stephanie Kulp hit a double and a solo homer to lift North Penn past visiting Central Bucks South, 4-1.

Suburban One American. Gwyn Botley struck out nine and walked two as Norristown tripped visiting Upper Merion, 6-2.

Pioneer Athletic. Spring-Ford scored a run in the top of the seventh inning and held on to beat host Boyertown, 6-5. Steph Diegel hit a single and a triple and knocked in two runs for the Rams.

Lacrosse

Carrie Kilgore's only goal of the game came with 1 minute, 21 seconds left and handed Great Valley a 13-12 win over visiting Bishop Shanahan in a Ches-Mont League game.

Ali Karwoski paced the Patriots with seven goals while Hannah Goforth scored seven for the Eagles.

Inter-Ac. Brooke Kiley exploded for eight goals and handed Germantown Academy a 15-10 win over visiting Springside. Kiley has 15 goals in her last two games.

Notre Dame got five goals from Delaney Tuite and handled host Agnes Irwin, 18-5.

Suburban One National. Meredith Cox scored four goals and led Abington to a 20-1 win over visiting Neshaminy.

Catholic Academies. Olivia Gannon came through with six goals for Mount St. Joseph in an 18-1 win over visiting Gwynedd-Mercy.

Friends Schools. Finley Sutton struck for five goals and boosted Westtown to a 13-8 win over host George School.

Track and Field

Kayla Charles won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles (45.9 seconds), the 100-meter hugh hurdles (15 seconds), the triple jump (35-1) and the long jump (17-31/4) and sparked North Penn to an 86-64 visiting Central Bucks West in a Suburban One League Continental Division meet.
