Al Golden left Temple in December to coach at the University of Miami. Jake O'Donnell, a rising two-way end for Central Bucks East, will be joining him in Coral Gables next year.

The 6-foot-6, 235-pound junior has committed to play for the Hurricanes. He made the decision after participating in the second of Golden's six one-day prospect camps last weekend.

"He was kind of a late bloomer," C.B. East coach John Donnelly said. "The kid has worked really hard. He put on about 25 pounds since December."

O'Donnell, likely a defensive end in college, also had scholarship offers from Temple, Syracuse, West Virginia, and North Carolina.

After receiving the Miami offer Sunday, he cancelled scheduled visits to Boston College, Connecticut, Maryland, and Pittsburgh.

O'Donnell, of Buckingham, filled in as an offensive tackle most of last season for the Patriots. In a 3-4 defense, he saw time at outside linebacker.
