Boys' Latin guard Watson to announce college choice

Maurice Watson, star senior guard at Boys' Latin Charter, soon will be off the basketball recruiting board. Maurice Sr., his father and BL's coach, said Maurice Jr. will announce his decision within a week and that the Final Five, in alphabetical order, are Boston University, Hofstra, La Salle, Niagara and Virginia. Junior tweeted last night that he will make his announcement Wednesday morning.

Maurice Sr., his father and BL's coach, said Maurice Jr. will announce his decision within a week and that the Final Five, in alphabetical order, are Boston University, Hofstra, La Salle, Niagara and Virginia. Junior tweeted last night that he will make his announcement Wednesday morning.

Dad said Junior, who already boasts 1,659 career points, has not yet dropped hints. A basketball insider, going on assorted vibrations, feels the choice will be BU.

"Part of this process has been good. Part of it has been overwhelming," Maurice Sr. said. "My son says he knows now, and that he's gonna go for it. Whichever school he goes with, I'll be happy. Any one would be a good situation for anybody."
