Brown finished the game with four scores and 170 rushing yards and Central Bucks South rolled over host Central Bucks West, 45-14, in a Suburban One Continental Conference matchup.
Early in the first quarter, Brown rushed for a touchdown to hand Central Bucks South an early lead. Central Bucks West's Cody Riemenschneider answered by returning the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown.
Not one to be topped, Brown took the following kickoff 85 yards to the house. Two minutes into the game, Brown had scored twice and handed the Titans a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Pennridge 27, Souderton 7 - Mike Class and James Marrero both rushed for two scores as host Pennridge eased past Souderton, 27-7, in a Continental matchup.
Class rushed for a 10-yard score in the first quarter and added a 40-yarder in the second before finishing the night with 135 rushing yards. Both of Marrero's rushes were from 5 yards out in the fourth quarter.
Public
A near-perfect day for Tim DiGiorgio translated into a miserable day for visiting Overbrook, as the junior quarterback led Frankford to a 36-10 romp in a Public League AAAA Gold matchup.
DiGiorgio threw for 270 yards with just one incompletion as he connected on 14 of his 15 pass attempts.
After Overbrook (0-4 division, 0-5 overall) took an early 2-0 lead, DiGiorgio fired back with six consecutive passing touchdowns. Renz Compton, Marquan Scott and Savoy Martin each hauled in two scores.
Compton caught touchdowns of 15 and 23 yards in the first and second quarter, followed by Scott's scores of 10 and 20 yards in the second and third quarter.
Martin, a senior wideout, hooked up with DiGiorgio for 103 yards on four catches, an average of 25.75 yards per catch. He brought down a 25-yard score followed by a 26-yarder to cap off an 18-point Pioneers (3-0, 3-2) third quarter.
The high powered Frankford offense is averaging 30.4 points per game and has yet to score fewer than 20 points in a game. After allowing 27 points in consecutive games to open the season, the Pioneers defense has averaged 9.6 points against in their last three games.
Boys' Latin 27, University City 0 - The host Warriors (2-1, 3-1) accounted for all their scoring in the second and fourth quarter as they rolled over University City (0-4, 1-4) in a Class AAA game.
Ben Coulibaly rushed for a 35-yard score in the first quarter, followed by a 32-yard passing score from quarterback Erik Lark to Tahir Perlote. In the fourth, Lark scored on a goal-line keeper and Salim Williams-Huff rushed for a 10-yard score.
This was Boys' Latin's third shutout of the season; the Warriors are holding opponents to 3.8 points per game.
Lincoln 33, Olney 0 - The Railsplitters (2-1, 3-2) raced out to three first-quarter TDs and never looked back as they routed host Olney (1-3, 1-3) in an AAAA Silver contest. Duke Walker set the tone with a 70-yard kick-return touchdown on the opening kickoff.
Marty McFarland accounted for three TDs, two rushing and one receiving. He stood out just as much on the defensive side as he accounted for eight tackles and one interception. Mike Johnson added 10 tackles for LincolnAfter being shut out in the season opener, Lincoln has won three of its last four games and is a game out of first in Class AAAA Silver. It was Lincoln's first shutout of the season, after they gave up just two points last week. Opponents are scoring an average of 11.2 points per game against them, while the Railsplitters offense has averaged 25.25 points per game since being shut out.
Communications Tech 36, Mariana Bracetti 0 - For the first time this season the Phoenix (2-1, 4-1) defense shutout an opponent as they rolled over host Mariana Bracetti (0-3, 0-4) in a Class AA matchup.
Zaki Jamison threw for two scores in the first quarter as Communications Tech built up a 22-point lead before halftime. Rolando Ransom added two rushing scores, first from 25-yards out and then from 15 yards. Takir Trent and Tylik Guliford were on the receiving end of Jamison two touchdown passes.
The Communications Tech defense has allowed an average of 11.2 points per game while the Mariana Bracetti offense had averaged just six points per game.
Bok 40, Del-Val Charter 0 - Shaquil Sammons and Marquise Brown rushed for two TDs each as Bok (3-0, 4-0) routed host Del-Val Charter (1-2, 1-3) in a Class AA matchup. Brown, a quarterback, rushed for his scores on short keepers and also added a passing touchdown.
This was the Wildcats' third shutout of the season and second in a row. They are holding opponents to 4.2 points per game while scoring an average of 40 points per game. It was the fourth time this season they scored at least 40 points.
After rattling off 44 points in their opening game, the Warriors are averaging just four points in their last three contests.
Simon Gratz 14, Dobbins 12 - The host Bulldogs (3-1, 3-2) erased a 12-point deficit at halftime to knock off Dobbins (3-1, 3-2). Jameel Davis and Delane Hart rushed for first-half Mustangs scores.
Central League
Host Springfield (Delaware County) raced off to 20-straight first half points on way to an easy 20-10 win over Conestoga (3-2, 2-2).
Cameron Durham rushed for a 16-yard score in the first quarter to put the Cougars (5-0, 4-0) on the board. and was followed by two short rushing touchdowns from Mike Dougherty.
To provide the scoring for the Pioneers, Steve Shickel connected on a 17-yard field goal and Joe Viviano scored on a goal-line dive.
Marple Newtown 49, Lower Merion 0 - Cimirrow Moat rushed for five scores and 179 yards on 13 carries to lead host Marple Newtown (4-1) to an easy win over Lower Merion (2-3).
Moat averaged 13.77 yards per carry. Four of his five touchdowns came from 30-yards or more, including a 50-yard sprint in the second quarter.
Bicentennial
Springfield (Montgomery County) rattled off four first half touchdowns en route to a 41-6 rout of visiting Bristol. Clay Ewell found the end zone twice in the half, including a 29-yard scamper which opened up the scoring. The senior running back finished the night with 137 yards on the ground.
Senior wideout Tim Quigg hauled in a 70-yard touchdown in the second quarter and later rushed for a 55-yard score.
Ches-Mont
Mack Hasz gained 186 all-purpose yards and scored the game-winning touchdown as Great Valley (3-2, 2-0) knocked off visiting Oxford (3-2, 1-1), 29-22.
With 4 minutes left, Hasz hauled in a 38-yard pass from Chris Geiss to put the Patriots ahead. Geiss threw for two scores, both to Hasz.
Nonleague
Penn Charter (2-2) didn't provide much offense, but it proved to be enough as the host Quakers pulled off a 10-0 win over Peddie School.
Daryl Worley hauled in a 54-yard bomb from Kevin Murphy to open the scoring in the first quarter. Giancarlo Regni followed with a 32-yard field goal in the second quarter.
The Penn Charter defense was led by cornerback Corey Kelley's two interceptions and a fumble recovery by linebacker Tommy Monzo. As a tight end, Monzo added 75 receiving yards.
Coatesville 27, Unionville 26 - Trailing by six points with 5 minutes left to play in regulation, Tom Pancoast orchestrated an 81-yard, game-winning drive as Unionville (4-1) upset host Coatesville.
Coatesville (4-1) is ranked No. 3 in Southeastern Pa. by The Inquirer.
Pancoast tied the game with 45 seconds left on a goalline plunge and kicker Sean Barnes took the lead with the ensuing extra point.
Pancoast, a junior quarterback, also threw an 80-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Senior tailback Richard Sampson added two rushing scores
Poly Prep 28, Valley Forge 25 - A late score wasn't enough as Valley Forge (2-3) fell at home in a close game to Poly Prep. Dion Shaw hauled in an 11-yard score in the fourth quarter to cut the Poly lead to three. Quarterback Chris Andrews threw for 208 yards on 13-for-21 passing and Rashaad Williams rushed for 210 yards on 27 carries to lead the Trojans.
Suburban One
Joe Bianchino threw for two scores and the Neshaminy (4-1, 1-1) defense didn't budge as they shutout visiting Bensalem (2-3, 0-2), 26-0.
The Redskins are ranked No. 4 in Southeastern Pa. by the Inquirer.
Sean Ulmer added 77 rushing yards and the Neshaminy special teams forced a safety in the first quarter.
Wissahickon 28, Norristown 16 - A balanced offense led to an easy win as Wissahickon (3-2, 1-1) scored once in each quarter en route to a 28-16 triumph over visiting Norristown (3-2, 1-1).
Ricky O'Donnell rushed for three scores, including a 21-yard run to top off the fourth quarter.
