St. Joseph's Prep tops Penn Charter, 47-35

Vasturia, a junior bound for Notre Dame, dropped in 14 points and added eight rebounds. Overton, a junior guard, scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed nine boards.

Pac 10/Sub. One Challenge. Brennan Rudnick drained a three-pointer at the buzzer as Central Bucks South knocked off Pottstown, 52-50, at Central Bucks West.  

Southern Lehigh Tournament. In his first career high school game, highly touted freshman Horace Spencer III recorded five points as William Tennent lost to Harriton, 53-40. The Rams rotated Itay Levy and Adesh Dasini to limit the 6-foot-8 Spencer.

Media Shootout. Glen Mills watched their 16-point fourth quarter lead disappear before clawing back to top host Strath Haven, 52-51.

Dyshawn Mack hit the game winner on a tip-in with 9 seconds left in regulation.

Girls' Basketball

Senior center Mary Newell scored a career-high 25 points as Villa Joseph Marie rolled over Neshaminy, 59-48, in a nonleague game.

Pittsburgh Tournament. Fels tied the game twice at the buzzer before finishing off host Imani Christian in double overtime, 75-71.

Casey Bell hit a three at the end of regulation and Lester Mattox knocked down a jumped at the end of the first overtime. The Panthers shot 5-for-6 from the line in the second O.T. to secure the win.

Springfield (Delco) Tournament Junior center Alex Poplowski dominated the glass as she grabbed 12 rebounds on way to Springfield (Delco)'s easy 59-24 win over Penn Wood.

Swimming

Jamal Williams broke the Penn Charter pool record for a 50-yard freestyle as the Quakers downed visiting Hill School, 109-71. The junior finished in 21.27 seconds; 0.14 seconds better than the previous mark.
