Upper Merion tops Springfield (Montco) 73-71

Senior James Mobley dropped in a game-high 37 points, including 10 in the final quarter as the Vikings pulled away. Along with Mobley, Upper Merion starts four juniors.

Entering the fourth, Upper Merion trailed, 59-55, before rallying to outscore the Spartans, 18-12.

Billy Dahm led the visitors with 23 points, including 14 in the second half.

In other nonleague action, Gene Williams scored all 17 of his points in the first half as St. Joseph's Prep easily dismantled visiting Palmer, 79-37. Miles Overton finished with a game-high 21 points and eight rebounds.

Aaquil Craft-Brown scored the game-winning bucket with 20 seconds left in regulation as visiting Paul Robeson knocked off Bartram, 48-46.

Yosef Yacob was dialed in from long distance as he led Archbishop Carroll to an easy win at Bishop Shanahan, 75-49.

Yacob finished with a game-high 23 points and knocked down four threes. He added four rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Patriots nailed 10 three-pointers.

Jamir Leach dropped in nine second-half points to lift Mastery Charter South at Germantown Friends, 44-37. The visitors trailed by nine at the half.

Junior guard Riyadh Brown posted a career-high 29 points and nailed five three's to help Martin Luther King easily knock off visiting Parkway West, 70-54.

Shep Garner and Britton Lee combined for 26 points but Roman Catholic fell to visiting Paul VI, 59-51. Garner, a sophomore guard, finished with six assists to go along with his 12 points.

TreVaughn Wilkerson manned the glass for the Cahillites, grabbing eight boards.

Ron Curry led Paul VI with 18 points.

With a strong first quarter, Palumbo knocked off host Mastbaum, 72-65. Demtrius Davenport poured in 11 of his game-high 30 points in the opening quarter as the Griffins jumped out to a 24-9 lead.

Senior forward Keenon Johnson dropped 14 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as New Media Charter turned away visiting Mariana Bracetti, 62-49.

Tony Parker's game-high 26 points helped Communications Tech roll at Ben Franklin, 77-59. The small forward scored 10 points in the third quarter and was aided by Richard Hoskins' 18 points.

Mike Jolaoso's 15 points helped lead visiting Episcopal Academy to an easy win over Devon Prep. Chris McNeal aided the effort with 13 points. The hosts were led by Steve Kohlbrenner's game-high 26 points.

Behind Mike Foster's 17 point, Mastery Charter North pulled away at MaST Charter, 57-48. Eric Williams scored a game-high 18 points for the host Panthers.

Tri-County. Nick Bolger scored a team-high 15 points as visiting Kimberton Waldorf held off Wyncote, 43-37.

David Hughes grabbed 10 rebounds and recorded a pair of blocks to help Mercy Vocational skate past visiting Barrack Hebrew, 59-27.

Shariff Jackson chipped in with 15 points and five assists.

Bicentennial. Plumstead Christian rallied back in the fourth quarter to top host Jenkintown, 34-31.

Junior power forward Josh Sharik scored eight of his 14 points in the fourth as the Panthers outscored Jenkintown, 12-3.

Hashim Abdulrassol captured a first-period pin at 132 pounds to help host Lincoln down Bristol, 45-33, in a non-league match. Abdulrassol scored his pin in 1:16.
