Tues. Pa. girls' roundup: Nazareth surges past Neshaminy

The Pandas trailed by one entering the fourth before outscoring Neshaminy, 16-7. Gasperi finished with four rebounds and four assists.

Also at the Boardwalk Classic, Pope John Paul II knocked off Paul VI, 30-26, in the consolation of the Tom Jorgenson bracket. Haley Mesaros shot 70 percent from the field and finished with 17 points.

Spring-Ford Tournament. Ming Seawright dominated the glass as Cheltenham eased past Downingtown West, 49-36. Seawright finished with 14 rebounds and was aided by Ciara Andrews' 28 points.

Kathleen Fitzpatrick was on target from long-range as Notre Dame downed Sprig-Ford, 64-60. Fitzpatrick nailed five three's to finished with a game-high 26 points.

No player scored in double-figures, as Central Bucks South turned away Conestoga, 41-29. Alysha Lofton scored five of her seven points in the first quarter to lead the Titans.  

Wissahickon Tournament. Bianca Picard knocked down four threes, shot 5 for 8 from the line, and finished with a game-high 23 points as Souderton put away Lansdale Catholic, 51-34.

Gwynedd-Mercy slipped past host Wissahickon, 40-37, behind Caroline Shimrock's 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Cactus Jam. Kate Fitzpatrick poured in 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Upper Darby over Canada's Monsignor McCoy, 46-23, in the opening round of the Phoenix, Ariz., tournament. Fitzpatrick scored 18 in the first half and was aided by Nadja Hashim's 10 rebounds.

Sherwood (Md.) Tournament. Cassidy Koenig shot 7 for 11 from behind the arch and finished with a game-high 26 points to lift Upper Merion over host Sherwood, 56-51. Jackie VanLoan chipped in with 13 rebounds.

Ridley Tournament. Nicole Southcott nailed four threes and finished with a game-high 21 points as Coatesville held off Archmere (Del.), 59-54. Martianna Wilson's nine rebounds aided the win.

St. Pius X Christmas Classic. Senior guard Erieann Anastasi poured in a game-high 16 points to help St. Hubert knock off Tri-City (Ga.), 74-20, in the opening round of the Atlanta tournament.

Mastery Charter Tournament. Morgan Cullen's 18 second-half points helped Bristol charge past Franklin Towne Charter, 42-27. She connected on two three's in the third quarter.

Garnet Valley Tournament. All 10 players that played for host Garnet Valley scored, as the Jaguars downed Chichester, 57-31. Junior center Emily Mallon pulled down nine boards and the defense forced 14 steals.

All but five of Megan Quinn's game-high 27 points came in the first half as Episcopal Academy easily downed West Chester Henderson, 50-35.

Spring-Ford Tournament. Behind a balanced effort, Great Valley turned away Hempfield, 32-30. Seven players found the basket for the Patriots and none scored in double figures.

Robert Hopf Tournament. Jenkintown survived a late scare and knocked off visiting Upper Moreland, 32-30.

The Golden Bears hit a three with 9.4 seconds left to cut the deficit to two and then stole the ensuing in-bound pass. But the stingy Jenkintown defense held on for the win.

Bianca Adams scored 10 of her 18 points in the third quarter as Abington Friends downed Bishop McDevitt, 51-22, at Jenkintown. Alex Bowman chipped in with a game-high 19 points.

Ridley Tournament. Sam Foy and Michelle Rhine both grabbed 10 rebounds as host Ridley turned away Penn Wood, 59-31. Rhine had a team-high 12 points, while Foy finished with 11.

Pine Grove Cardinal Classic. Katie Melvin dished out seven assists and scored 14 points but Harriton fell to Blue Mountain, 46-39. She was joined by Sabrina Tabasso's three steals and team-high 15 points.

Boyertown Bear Classic. Noelle Alicea's game-high 16 points wasn't enough to slip Downingtown East past Bangor as the Cougars fell, 49-42.

Katilyn Eishenhard scored 10 of her game-high 18 points in the final quarter to lift Boyertown over Pennridge, 51-41. The hosts Bears led by just 32-30 at the start of the fourth.

Wilson-West Lawn Tournament. West Chester Rustin shut out Perkiomen Valley in the fourth quarter en route to a 51-37 win. Noelle Powell knocked down all six of her free throws in the quarter to finish with a game-high 14 points.

West Chester Classic. Chelsea Woods grabbed 15 rebounds, Sierra Wilkinson hauled in 12, and Friere Charter knocked off Springside, 39-28.Johnson's 12 points was a team-high.

Nonleague. Megan O'Brien scored 10 points in the second half and Penncrest pulled away at Kennett, 51-42.

Quakertown Tournament. Emily O'Donnell grabbed 15 rebounds to accompany her game-high 16 points as William Tennent rolled over Upper Perkiomen, 44-29.

Boardwalk Classic. Caroline DeAngelo's eight rebounds help Owen J. Roberts limit Oakcrest, 29-9, in the consolation of the Beach Cup Bracket.

Interboro Tournament. Gia DeAngelo hit two foul shots with 15 seconds left to seal Sun Valley's 43-41 win over Twin Valley.
