Pa. Boys: Speight's heave lifts Overbrook

Before Speight stunned the Speedboys with his long-distance three, the hosts had taken a two-point lead with 2.3 seconds left on Cameron Estrada's putback.

Speight finished with seven points, while teammate James Harrison had a game-high 18 points and was named the tournament's MVP. Donte Watkins and Estrada both finished with 16 to lead West Philly.

Jameer Nelson Philly.com/Rally Classic. Howard Sellars hit a floater in the lane with 15 seconds left as Church Farm rallied to top Calvert Hall (Md.), 56-53, at Lower Merion. Sellars' bucket gave the Griffins a 54-53 lead after they trailed by seven entering the fourth. Sellars finished with 29 points.

B.J. Johnson scored nine points in the fourth but Lower Merion's rally fell short as Emmaus won, 68-65.

Shooting Touch Shootout. Junior guard Britton Lee scored a team-high 21 points as Roman Catholic knocked off Amityville (N.Y.), 69-53, in the Boston tournament.

Alec Stavetski scored 13 of his team-high 17 points in the middle quarters as Archbishop Carroll fell to Hudson Catholic (N.J.), 62-40.

  Altoona Tournament. Jordan Simmons tied it at the buzzer in regulation, then knocked down crucial free throws in overtime as Abington topped Allentown Central Catholic, 71-68, in the tourney's final.

Cobra Holiday Tournament. Sherrod Higginbotham nailed a three-pointer with 1.8 seconds to play as Central Bucks West topped St. Andrews (Fla.), 39-37, in the Lake Worth, Fla., tournament.

Wissahickon Trojan Classic. Gordon Bentley knocked down a trio of three-balls and Jordan Reed nailed 13 foul shots as Wissahickon downed Frankford, 86-69, in the tournament final.

KSA Classic. Ryan O'Neil's 20 points helped Central Bucks East easily skate past West Broward (Fla.), 57-48, in the opening round of the Orlando tournament's Grey Bracket.

Stop DWI Classic. Billy Shank hit three threes, including a key one with 48 seconds left, as Neumann-Goretti put away Mount Vernon (N.Y.), 65-61, in the quarterfinal of the Binghamton tournament.

Al Achuff Tournament. Brahieme Jackson hauled in 17 rebounds and recorded five blocks as host Bishop McDevitt topped Pope John Paul II, 53-46, in the championship game.

Chris Smith Memorial. Tajhere McCall dished out six assists and scored a team-high 13 points to navigate Engineering & Science to a 50-47 win over Methacton in the championship of the North Penn tourney.

Unionville Tournament. Junior forward Brandon Rusinque dropped a career-high 21 points as Unionville downed Gospel of Grace, 62-52.

Great Valley Tournament. Brad Sherry scored 31 points and grabbed MVP honors as Great Valley toppled Upper Moreland, 75-60.

Reading Tournament. University City missed a three at the buzzer of regulation before falling to Pottstown in overtime, 61-58, in the championship.

Allentown Allen Tournament. Matt McKale's three-pointer with 3.1 seconds left was the game-winner as Springfield (Delco) knocked off Allentown Allen, 45-44. Matt Fox finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds.

Boyertown Bear Classic. Scott Dennin's 28 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks helped Boyertown win its own tournament with an 81-71 win over Pennridge. Mike Mansur knocked down five three-pointers.
