Strath Haven pair sets marks in track
Chris Williams cleared 15 feet, 3 inches in the pole vault and Wellington Zaza won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.04 seconds as the Strath Haven athletes each produced national indoor season-best performances on Thursday at the Robert J. Burdette Classic at Lehigh's Rauch Fieldhouse.

Williams, who finished second at the state outdoor meet last spring as a sophomore, broke the meet record of 15-1 and topped the previous best mark in the country this winter of 15-0 by Greg Gallagher of Iona Prep (N.Y.).
The meet also produced the top performances in the country this season by Chestnut Hill's Dustin Wilson in the 3,000 (8:48.69) and Upper Darby's Praduman Singh in the shot put (59-43/4).
Girls. Swenson won five events, including a meet record of 3:59.57 in the 4x400-meter relay. The Lions won the 4x200 relay in 1:44.75 and the sprint medley in 4:22.39. In addition, Kayla Coley won the 60 hurdles in 9.33, and Markeeta Thomas prevailed in the 400 in 59.21.
Gwynedd-Mercy's Emma Keenan turned in a season state-best 2:17.01 in the 800, and Meghan McGovern of North Penn won the mile in 5:16.66 and anchored the winning distance medley.
