Pennsbury wrestlers beat Neshaminy, 27-3
Pennsbury's thorough, 47-23 win over Neshaminy on Wednesday night was the latest indication that whatever first-year wrestling coach Phil Kealy is doing, it's working.

Pennsbury's thorough, 47-23 win over Neshaminy on Wednesday night was the latest indication that whatever first-year wrestling coach Phil Kealy is doing, it's working.
The host Falcons took the first four bouts of the evening, rushing to a 19-point lead that eventually mushroomed to 30 when Pennsbury 152-pounder David Mills pinned Patrick Hastings in 2 minutes, 12 seconds to clinch the Suburban One League National Conference meet with three matches to go.
Pennsbury (6-1 overall, 2-0 league) was hardly challenged, winning nine of the 13 matches in action (Neshaminy forfeited at 220), including five by pin and two by major decision.
The Redskins (3-5, 1-2) earned 12 inconsequential points down the stretch with TJ Magdeliskas and Kody Lupfer getting pins at 160 and 170 pounds, respectively.
"We were focused on the win," Kealy said. "They know where we're headed."
The last time Neshaminy came out for a Suburban One League dual meet, it walked away with a head-turning win over perennial power Council Rock South. And although South was missing three starters in that one, it still looked like a gem of a win - South's first in-league loss in two years.
That came Dec. 21, before schools went into break and teams dipped into their nonleague tournament schedules.
On Wednesday night, Neshaminy didn't look like a team able to compete with the area's best.
"We need to transfer what we do in the [practice] room out on the mat. One day we do. One day we don't," Neshaminy coach Dan Winter said.
The Redskins got on the board with Dominic Stabilito's overtime pin of Dominic Martoccio, in 6:52, after they went scoreless through three periods. The fall cut the deficit to 19-6. Seven of Stabilito's 10 wins this year have come by pin.
In the next match, Pennsbury's Jason Bing earned back those six points with a quick pin (in 1:20) of Steven Corleto, who was hit with a point deduction for unsportsmanlike conduct after the loss.
Two matches later, Josh DiSanto pushed the Pennsbury lead to 31-8, pinning Joe Simcox in 1:17 in the 132-pound match.
DiSanto improved to 8-1, with five pins. Just two and a half weeks into his junior season, DiSanto owns an 84-7 career mark.
Ernie Tessein punctuated the Falcons' night with a pin of Scott Martoccio at 182.
