Wed. Pa. girls' roundup: Civitello homer lifts Methacton

The junior shortstop's opposite-field hit was her first career walk-off home run. She finished 3 for 4.

Spring-Ford (7-1) entered the game undefeated. Methacton moved to 7-3.

Maddie Lowery went 3 for 4 at the plate and pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts to pick up the win.

Also in the Pioneer, Emily Allen drove in three runs on two hits as Boyertown blanked visiting Perkiomen Valley, 5-0. Brianna DePriest made nine assists from shortstop, and Jenna Marburger pitched a complete game.

Ches-Mont. Jordan Sheffield hit for the cycle for the first time in her career, and host Oxford dropped Kennett, 9-6. The senior shortstop reached the cycle with a double in the sixth inning. She also knocked a one-run homer in the fifth.

Suburban One. Meredith Byrne slammed a three-run double in the seventh inning to hand Wissahickon an 8-4 win at Upper Merion. Katie Ziegler picked up the complete-game win, striking out three and walking one.

Suzanne Swanicke went 3 for 4 and drove home four runs as Pennsbury knocked off Truman, 9-6. Jess Greenwald added two hits and scored four runs.

Sammi Kidd went 2 for 2 with an RBI, and Norristown eased past visiting Cheltenham, 6-1. Brianna Kennedy posted the win with eight strikeouts in seven innings.

Public. Ashley Attica stole home for the winning run as Philadelphia Electrical edged host Dobbins, 17-16. Attica scored with two outs in the fourth inning, which served as the final inning because of a time limit.

Jaileen Bernard went 3 for 5 with four RBIs to help Kensington drop host Swenson, 18-16. She hit a three-run homer in the third inning.

Del-Val. Lauren Munro came home from third with the winning run when the right fielder's throw went awry, as Interboro topped host Chichester, 10-9. Munro had a pair of homers, and Morgan Loomis added two RBIs.

Ches-Mont. Melissa White went 3 for 4 and scored a pair of runs to lift West Chester Rustin over visiting Octorara, 7-2. Brandy Lehman went 2 for 3 and drove home two runs.

Bicentennial. Taylor DelMonte slammed a three-run homer in the fourth inning and scored twice to help Springfield (Montco) down visiting Calvary Christian, 9-7. Kim Machalette struck out seven and walked two for the win.

Central. Marissa Meenan and Morgan Noad slammed back-to-back homers in the fifth inning to help Conestoga down Penncrest, 4-1. Karla DiPietro pitched seven innings and struck out three for the win. 

Nonleague. Erica Ragazzone pitched a shutout and drove in the only run as St. Hubert edged host Rancocas Valley, 1-0. The senior finished 3 for 3 from the plate and struck out eight and walked four.

Lacrosse

Laura Frankenfield scored seven times and added four assists to lead Wissahickon over host Cheltenham, 16-14, in a Suburban One game.

Also in the Suburban One, Amy Frymoyer made eight saves as Upper Merion dropped visiting Upper Moreland, 15-7.

Friends Schools. Dana Schulman made 10 saves and Iris Williamson scored four times as host Germantown Friends downed Friends' Central, 15-13.
