Fri. S.J. boys' roundup: Cinnaminson comes back, tops RV

Limited to one run over six innings, Cinnaminson scored five times in the bottom of the seventh - capped by Cody McNair racing home on Marty McDonald's two-out single - as the host Pirates shocked Rancocas Valley, 6-5, on Friday in Burlington County League baseball.

Rancocas Valley took a 5-1 lead in the sixth on back-to-back home runs by Frank Cerami and Phil Styles.

Taylor Zackman drove in two runs with a pair of singles and Justin Conover scored twice, as visiting Bordentown erased a 3-1, fourth-inning deficit in rallying past Pemberton, 6-3.

Olympic. Alex Polanco hit a solo home run in the third inning and Kyle Hohwald's sacrifice fly knocked in the go-ahead run in the seventh, as Pennsauken needed just three hits to defeat host Seneca, 2-1.

Cape-Atlantic. Beau Hall hit a two-run homer in the first inning and then proceeded to shut out Buena, striking out nine and scattering seven hits and two walks in Ocean City's 5-0 home win.

Mike Wray and Kieran Tracey also went deep for the Red Raiders, who saw three of their five hits leave the yard.

Tovine Potts singled, doubled, stole two bases, and drove in a pair of runs, and Kevin Allen - despite losing his shutout bid in the seventh - went the distance in pitching host Sacred Heart past Lower Cape May, 4-2.

Mike Scimeca tied it with a sixth-inning single and then scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball, as St. Augustine's offense came alive late to turn back Absegami, 5-3.

Mike Earling and Billy Bendig each doubled twice and teamed up to drive in five runs, carrying host St. Joseph past Middle Township, 10-6.

Tri-County. Clearview raked a dozen hits in its 17-1 romp past visiting Penns Grove, with Dave Young and Rich Norcross combining for a single, two doubles and a triple along with five RBIs and six runs scored.

Nonleague. Freshman righthander Trevor Eastman stroked a two-run double and limited Medford Tech to one run over the final six innings, allowing host Doane Academy to pull away to a 10-4 win.

Shane Garrett and Nick Follet combined to bat 6 for 6 with four RBIs and five runs scored, paving the way for Cherokee's 11-1 rout of visiting Holy Cross.

Host Sterling slammed Camden Academy Charter, 11-1, in five innings, with Ryan McGoldrick tossing a five-hitter and Dan Baldino going 3 for 4 for the Silver Knights.

Shawnee used a 6-1, third-quarter surge to pull out an 11-7 win at Seneca, keeping the Renegades alone atop the Olympic Conference Patriot Division.

Owen Demmerly guided the attack with four goals and two assists, and goalie Reece Tursi made 13 saves.

Also in the Olympic, Joe Dibabbo came through with six goals and one assist and goalie Kyle Melnick stopped 15 shots, keying Clearview's 11-8, come-from-behind win over Washington Township.

Freshman midfielder Chris Hammerquist came through with six goals and one assist, and Cherry Hill East platooned Drew Woods and Jared Hand in net in place of injured goalie Brett Roseman, as the Cougars cruised to a 16-7 victory at crosstown rival Cherry Hill West.
