The Thunderbolts beat Gloucester Catholic in the first round of the Diamond Classic Saturday despite the absence of leading hitter Aaron Cox, who was attending his sister's college graduation.
4. Gloucester Catholic (3) 17-4
Senior third baseman Brett Tenuto (nine doubles, three home runs) has been putting together a strong season for the Rams.
5. Holy Cross (9) 18-2
The Lancers have won seven of eight, and beat Buena in a 10-inning thriller in the first round of the Diamond Classic.
6. Buena (4) 16-5
Senior shortstop Anthony Lopez had five extra-base hits last week.
7. Cherry Hill West (10) 13-6
The Lions have won five of six with the only loss by a 3-1 score to Washington Township.
8. St. Augustine (NR) 12-6
The Hermits have won five in a row, including shutouts of Millville and Sacred Heart behind senior righthander Kevin Baxter.
9. Bishop Eustace (NR) 12-5
Senior righthander Keith Wallace is 2-0 against Audubon, winning the Ralph Shaw Classic title game April 29 and the Diamond Classic opener on Saturday.
10. Moorestown (NR) 12-6
The Quakers won nine in a row, including victories over Hammonton, Sterling, Burlington Township and Holy Cross, before a 4-3 loss to Haddonfield on Saturday.
