Cinnaminson rallies to edge Northern Burlington, 63-62

Rashone Damon's last-second free throw capped Cinnaminson's comeback and sealed a 63-62 win against visiting Northern Burlington on Friday in a Burlington County Liberty Division boys' basketball matchup.

With the game tied at 62, Damon drew a foul on a putback with one second left. He then knocked down the first of two free throws to give the Pirates the lead.

Cinnaminson trailed by as many as nine points in the fourth quarter before ripping off a late run.

Xavier Wilson scored a game-high 23 points for the Pirates, and Jackson Merget added 17.

Joey Montalvo paced Northern Burlington with 22 points. Stephon Gadiare chipped in 19.

Cinnaminson carried a 29-22 lead into halftime before falling behind, 51-46, after three quarters. The Pirates outscored Northern Burlington by 17-11 in the fourth quarter to earn an opening-night victory.
