S. Jersey Girls: Camden Catholic roars back

A huge third quarter lifted the Camden Catholic girls' basketball team past Haddon Heights, 58-45, Friday in the championship game of the Cherry Hill West Christmas Tournament.

A huge third quarter lifted the Camden Catholic girls' basketball team past Haddon Heights, 58-45, Friday in the championship game of the Cherry Hill West Christmas Tournament.

The Irish trailed by four at intermission, but outscored the Garnets, 21-7, in the third period, behind six points from Cara Rocadalbo and five from Julia Braungart.

Sierra Taylor led the Irish with 16 points. Nadja Riggs scored 23 in the losing effort.

Audubon Tournament. Cinnaminson used a strong second half to overcome Gloucester's Madison McClintock's 21-point performance and win the championship, 40-34.

Cinnaminson outscored Gloucester by 24-15 in the second half. Jamie Campbell scored 12 points, and Melissa Tarte added 11 for the Pirates.

Prime Time Tournament. Lauren Moses earned a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds and led Rancocas Valley to a 57-45 win over Moore Catholic (N.Y.) in the semifinals in Trenton. RV will play Rutgers Prep in the final at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Lenape Holiday Showcase. Lenape defeated Williamstown, 52-43, in the championship round of the Lenape Showcase behind a balanced offensive attack. Eight players scored for Lenape, led by Maddie Sims with a game-high 16.

Woodbury Holiday Tournament. Buena turned up its defense in the second half and pulled away from host Woodbury for a 32-24 win in the final. Caroline Santiago paced Buena with nine points.

KSA Tournament. Ocean City went to Orlando, Fla., and pounded Ursuline Academy of Ontario, Canada, 57-11. Julia Duggan (12 points) outscored Ursuline by herself.
