Scholastic rowing nationals begin Friday in Camden

The Scholastic Rowing Association of America national championship regatta is scheduled for Friday and Saturday on the Cooper River in Camden.

Gonzaga (Wash.) is the defending champion in the boys' varsity eight grand final, and National Cathedral (Wash.) is the defending champion in the girls' varsity eight grand final.

The SRAA was formed in 1935 to foster scholastic rowing and to stage an annual regatta open to all schools of the world, the winner to be recognized as North American champions.
