Thurs. Pa. boys and girls: Abington Friends rolls

Seniors Jordan Greene and Joe Robinson were the only Abington Friends players to reach double figures in scoring Thursday, but it was more than enough to move the Kangaroos past visiting Barrack Hebrew, 69-28, in a nonleague boys' basketball game.

Robinson poured in a game-high 26 points, including six free throws. Greene scored 25.

In other nonleague action, Phelps recorded 21 steals to cruise past visiting Hun School, 65-35.

Terry Larrier, a senior bound for Virginia Commonwealth, scored a game-high 20 points. Raheem Hall, a transfer from Lower Merion, added 15 points, and Mustapha Traore, a transfer from Prep Charter, finished with 10.

Tri-County. Kobe Vinson's 20 points helped Renaissance Academy roll at Woodlynde, 45-28.

Public. Engineering & Science coach Charles Brown will go for career win No. 400 when the Engineers host GAMP at 3:15 p.m. Friday. Brown has coached at E&S for 31 years.

Girls' Basketball

Kaylah Andrews, a freshman, scored six points and grabbed 14 rebounds to pace Renaissance Academy past host Woodlynde, 31-20. Sophomore Anna Algeo added 10 rebounds.

Nonleague. Lindsay Chevlin scored 16 points and visiting Barrack Hebrew downed New Foundations, 29-26.
