Roman edges Holy Spirit in St. Augustine Classic

Rashann London and Manny Taylor each scored 11 for the Cahillites, whose lead shrank to one on a Holy Spirit shot at the end of regulation.

Also in the St. Augustine Classic, Kairi Jones scored all seven of his points in the third quarter to help Cardinal O'Hara to a 57-45 win over Holy Cross.

Pioneer Athletic. Boyertown answered the bell to knock off the defending league champion, Perkiomen Valley, 57-55, in overtime. Tyler Bauman, who finished with 14 points, drained a layup at the overtime buzzer for the win. Host Boyertown scored 10 points on buzzer-beaters throughout the game.

Ches-Mont. Vaughn Jenkins scored 11 of his 16 points in the second quarter for Kennett, which held on for a 43-42 win over visiting West Chester East.

Nonleague. Tom Liebig packed the stat sheet in Haverford High's 46-35 win against visiting Liberty. Liebig finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and four assists.

Girls' Basketball

Gabby Heinsinger and Valez Jackson each went 4 for 4 from the free-throw line in overtime to ice Merion Mercy's 44-34 win at Villa Joseph Marie in a Catholic Academies game. Heinsinger and Jackson finished with 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Queen of Palms Tournament. Alyssa Monaghan and Shalina Miller each scored 18 points to lead Bonner-Prendergast to a 65-57 win over Sagemont (Fla.) in the consolation game of the Queen of Palms Tournament in Fort Myers, Fla. Monaghan had seven assists and made the all-tournament team. Miller grabbed 14 rebounds.
