The Rams offense provided plenty of support early, putting up three runs in the first inning and seven in the third against visiting Timber Creek.
Still, Murphy gave the Rams a gem.
The junior righthander recorded his first career no-hitter during Gloucester Catholic's 11-0 nonleague win. The Maryland recruit struck out 12 of the 15 batters he faced in the five-inning game.
Murphy is 5-0 this season and has 20 career wins. The school record is 26, set by Cody Brown from 2008 to 2011.
Nick Seccia went 1 for 3 with three RBIs and a run. Tre Todd also drove in three. Pete Farlow finished with a hit, a run, and an RBI.
In other nonleague action:
Chris Lefferts scored three times and stole a base for Holy Spirit, which defeated host Kingsway, 13-10. Tyler Dowd went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs.
Dave Geary pitched a five-inning one-hitter and struck out six, and Delran topped Riverside at home, 10-0. Tyler Malia went 2 for 4 with a run and two RBIs.
Blue Devil Invitational. John Maimone dealt a four-inning no-hitter in his first pitching appearance of the season to give tournament host Hammonton an 11-0 win over Overbrook in the championship game.
The junior lefthander struck out six to get his first varsity win. Tournament MVP Anthony Cruz blasted two home runs in the game and finished the invitational with six RBIs.
Burlington County League Tournament. Ryan Shinn pitched a one-hitter to lead top-seed Northern Burlington to an 8-0 home win over No. 8 New Egypt in a quarterfinal. Shinn struck out nine. Northern Burlington will face No. 4 Cinnaminson in the semifinals next Saturday.
In another quarterfinal, Dallas Clark scored on a wild pitch in the fourth inning to give sixth-seeded Moorestown the deciding run in a 1-0 road win over No. 3 Rancocas Valley. Clark worked a walk and reached third on a single by Will Emerson. Moorestown will play the winner of No. 2 Holy Cross and No. 7 Bordentown in the semifinals.
Colonial. Christian Hibbard allowed two hits over five innings for host Woodbury, which rode an eight-run fifth to beat Lindenwold, 10-0. Hibbard had six strikeouts.
Tri-County Royal. Justin Keegan doubled twice and knocked in three runs as Williamstown trumped Cumberland at home, 10-0. Dan Musilli also had two doubles and batted in two runs. Winning pitcher Jon Carter threw six innings of three-hit ball.
Olympic American. Connor Milley was perfect at the plate with four hits and an RBI for Lenape, which edged Eastern on the road, 2-1. John Szwajkowski allowed one run on three hits to get the win.

Chris Rispo netted a hat trick to lead Cherokee to an 11-2 nonleague win over Hillsborough.
