Greenberg, Wood girls win title in Arizona

Bailey Greenberg scored 20 points Monday to lead the Archbishop Wood girls' basketball team to a 62-35 victory over Bishop Gorman in the Red Division championship game at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix.

Bishop Gorman has won the last four Nevada state championships.

Greenberg also grabbed 20 rebounds to lead the Vikings, who are ranked No. 2 in Southeastern Pennsylvania by The Inquirer.

Suburban One National. Deja Rawls netted 18 points in No. 5 Abington's 83-29 home win over Bensalem. Gabby Nolan grabbed four steals and had eight assists. Sammy Lochner recorded five steals to go along with her six points.

Suburban One American. Ashley Jones had 26 points, eight rebounds, and four assists to carry host Cheltenham over Norristown, 55-35. Gabrielle Wright added five points and finished with eight rebounds and four blocks.

Ches-Mont American. Noelle Powell scored 14 points and Katie O'Hare added 12 to aid West Chester Rustin in a 53-21 win over visiting Octorara.

Nonleague. Kejohna Hammond scored 15 points in host Baldwin's 40-31 victory over Jenkintown. Danielle Hammond netted 13 points and had nine blocks. Emma Dorshimer scored 22 for Jenkintown

Boys' Basketball

Darryl Carr netted 25 points and had four steals to lead host Norristown to a 70-41 victory over Cheltenham in a Suburban One American matchup.

Roy Green added 19 points and finished with nine rebounds.

In another American game, Tre Holcomb scored 11 points to aid Wissahickon in a 65-37 win over visiting Upper Merion.

Public A. Kimar Williams dropped in 21 points for Constitution in a 70-56 win over Philadelphia Electrical at Philadelphia University. Chad Andrews-Fulton netted 19 points, including 10 points in the first.

Public B. Deshan Brown scored 25 points, sinking seven three-pointers, in Northeast's 58-54 win at Olney. Tyriq Wilson had eight assists.

Public C. Jabbar Shy connected on a half-court shot off the backboard at the buzzer to give West Philadelphia a 59-56 win over Sayre at home. He finished with six points and 14 assists.

Nonleague. Zane Martin scored 28 points, including four three-pointers, to lead Neumann-Goretti in a 99-65 home rout of St. Vincent Pallotti. Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree had seven rebounds and five blocks.

Danny Duffey had 18 points in Lower Moreland's 69-48 home win over Springfield (Montco). Matt Cerruti added 15 points.
