Pa. boys: Park fans seven in Episcopal Academy win

Park stuck out seven batters and allowed three hits.

A.J. Lotsis and Kyle Virbitsky hit triples for the Churchmen. Lotsis drove in two runs.

Alex Burman and Cole Dumont each had an RBI.

In other nonleague action:

Kenneth Rodriguez stuck out five and went the distance in host George School's 5-1 victory over Hill School. Chris Beverly went 2 for 4 with a double, two RBIs, and a run. Luke Haug drove in a run and scored twice.

Friends Schools. Friends Select improved to 5-0 behind strong pitching from Jack Gontowski. The sophomore tossed a complete game and struck out eight to lead the Falcons to a 9-1 win at Abington Friends. Will Layton went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Jack Cohen knocked in two runs and had a triple.

Del-Val. Chris Thomas' two-run single in the sixth inning broke a tie and led Academy Park to a 5-3 win over visiting Chichester. Mike Brodzinski went 3 for 3 with two RBIs and a pair of runs. Dominic Lomonaco stuck out five.

Public League A. Enrique Acaba struck out 10, including the last three batters he faced, to seal host Esperanza's 6-1 win over Masterman. In the sixth inning, Acaba smacked a two-run single. Masterman's Liam Shanahan stuck out six.

Northeast scored eight runs in the sixth to secure a 9-7 win over visiting Prep Charter. Jordan Montero had two RBIs. Chris Castro went 2 for 2 with three runs scored.

Pioneer Athletic. Jake Zoller pitched six innings and struck out six to lead Spring-Ford to a 4-2 victory over Pope John Paul II at home.

Ches-Mont. J.T. Thompson had two RBIs in West Chester East's 5-0 shutout of visiting Downingtown East.

Lacrosse

Austin Slawter had five goals and two assists to power Archbishop Ryan to a 15-11 win at Roman Catholic in a Catholic League matchup.

Nick Metzger had a hat trick. Nick Taylor and Brendan Vizza scored twice.

Pioneer Athletic. Ben Minardi netted four goals in Perkiomen Valley's 12-5 win at Methacton. Shawn Coulter scored twice. Connor Dee had a goal and three assists.
