Truman boys rally for overtime win

In the final of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Bristol High School on Saturday, Truman rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime and defeat Plumstead Christian, 54-47.

Down by three with 20 seconds remaining in the game, the Tigers got a clutch three-pointer by Rasheed Newkirk to send the game into overtime. Truman's Danell Snelling was named the tournament's MVP, posting 24 points in the final. Kelechi Ogbonna was also named to the all-tournament team.

Nonleague. Penncrest downed Chichester, 61-49, on the back of a special outing from Tyler Norwood. He finished with 38 points, including five three-pointers, in addition to five assists and three steals.

Girls' Basketball

Harriton outlasted Academy Park, 48-43. Harriton's standout performer was Sophie Grady, who posted 27 points and 10 rebounds.

Suburban One American. Hatboro-Horsham beat conference rival Upper Moreland, 53-50.

Kylie Halko hit four free throws in the final minute to help put the Hatters over the top. Lexie Brett contributed 19 points in the victory.
