Amirah Ali, Eastern, Fr. Ali burst into high school soccer, waging one of the more memorable freshman campaigns in South Jersey history. She led the Vikings in goals (24) and assists (17). More impressive, freshman or not, was the number of clutch goals Ali scored, including the winner in overtime in the Coaches Tournament semifinals.
Rachelle Ross, Lenape, Sr. As she was throughout her high school career, Ross was one of the best finishers and best all-around players in South Jersey. This Monmouth recruit paired 15 goals with 11 assists - giving her 45 goals and 30 assists for her career - and led Lenape to Coaches Tournament and South Jersey Group 4 titles.
Carin Arline, Burlington Township, Sr. Arline was as aggressive and talented as any area player. She netted the winning goal as her 16th-seed Falcons upset top seed Ocean City in the South Jersey Group 3 playoffs. She finished the season with 17 goals and five assists.
Paige Bergman, Triton, Jr. Bergman is one of the area's most highly touted players. The junior contributes all over the field and is a smothering defender and an equally effective offensive weapon. She finished the season with 19 goals and six assists. She has 54 career goals.
Kylie Kirk, Haddonfield, Sr. Kirk returned to star for Haddonfield after an ankle injury that cut short her junior season and an offseason case of mononucleosis. She moves on to play for Indiana University after a characteristically well-rounded season in which she recorded 13 goals and 14 assists.
Paige Paratore, West Deptford, Sr. Paratore was a key member of a talented West Deptford senior class. She scored eight goals and led the team with 10 assists, including assisting the winner in the Eagles' win over Haddonfield in the South Jersey Group 2 final.
Kenie Wright, Lenape, Jr. Wright enjoyed a breakout season for the Indians, the area's best team. She was a key piece to the top midfield in South Jersey, pairing 10 goals with 18 assists.
Courtney Norton, Lenape, Sr. Norton played every defensive position except goalie this season - and excelled in each spot. This Rutgers recruit was one of the most composed, technically skilled defenders in the state. She played a major role in Lenape's four consecutive postseason shutouts.
Taylor Ryan, Shawnee, Sr. Playing in the Olympic Conference, Ryan was tasked with marking some of the top offensive players in the state and excelled in doing so. Only Lenape scored more than one goal in a game against Shawnee.
Miranda Konstantinides, Eastern, Sr. Konstantinides, this year's Inquirer Player of the Year in South Jersey girls' soccer, was the heart and soul of an Eastern team that was again one of the best in New Jersey. This Monmouth recruit also spearheaded a defense that recorded 14 shutouts.
Courtney Simpson, Cherokee, Sr. Simpson, a Loyola (Md.) recruit, led a young and talented Chiefs team. She was the area's most athletic and skilled goalkeeper, recording eight shutouts this season and a Cherokee-record 19 in her career.
