In London, Alexis Sánchez and Olivier Giroud lead third-place Arsenal against Liverpool's Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho in a battle of English Premier League powers. The fifth-place Reds need a win to stay in the chase for the Champions League.

U.S. coach Jill Ellis is set to pick her roster for the women's World Cup soon. She's under pressure to find a way to get all of her attacking stars, including Abby Wambach, Megan Rapinoe, and Alex Morgan, time on the field without hurting a defense led by rising star Julie Johnston.

Montreal's 2-0 win in the first leg of this CONCACAF Champions League semifinal series in Canada was solid. But it won't be easy for former Union forward Jack McInerney and the Impact to defend that lead in Costa Rica. McInerney will see at least one familiar face when he looks across the field: Alajuelense defender Porfirio López, whose one-year tenure at PPL Park still stands as one of the biggest busts in team history.
