Monday's Pennsylvania roundup: St. Joseph's Prep beats Malvern Prep in overtime

Ed Croswell scored 21 points and pulled down 16 rebounds as the St. Joseph's Prep boys' basketball team outlasted Malvern Prep, 76-67, in overtime on Monday.

Kyle Thompson and Darius Kinnel added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Hawks. Trevor Wall and Gabe Arizin each had 11 points.

Isaac White led the Friars with 17 points. Fran Oschell recorded 15 points and Deuce Turner added 14.

Bryce Spriggs guided a balanced attack with 10 points as Friends' Central rolled to a 53-34 victory over Friends Schools League foe Friends Select.

Scott Spann scored 28 points and Sankofa Freedom beat Martin Luther King, 62-61, in overtime. Denelle Holly Jr. had 20 points in defeat.

Nick DiSantis had 14 points in Mercy Career Tech's 49-46 win over Del-Val Charter. Sean Doyle and Cyrus Grimes finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Tajmir Hunt added 16 points and James Jones notched 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Indians.

Girls' Basketball

Ireland Smith scored 29 points to lead Washington past Audenried, 47-34.

Audenried's Samirra Howard-Williams recorded 14 points and 24 rebounds and broke a school record for blocks with 17.

Briana Henderson and Jaidah Peterson-Miller had 12 points apiece for Lincoln in a 36-26 victory over Masterman.

Edison rolled past Mariana Bracetti, 49-28, behind 23 points from Thays Torres. Delylah Serrano ended with 14 points for the victors.

Monet Cummings' 21 points propelled Freire Charter past Mastbaum, 42-26, in the Mastbaum Tip-Off Tournament.
