Holding the game ball, Williamstown assistant coach Mark Suk gathered players around him after Friday night's South Jersey Group 5 football championship game at Rowan University.

"Where's the old man?" Suk asked, playfully referring to Williamstown head coach Frank Fucetola.

Suk presented Fucetola with the game ball as the players cheered in celebration of Williamstown's 43-20 victory over Southern Regional.

On Monday night, Fucetola was named coach of the year by the Brooks Irvine Memorial Football Club.

Fucetola was honored at the club's 68th annual banquet at the Crown Plaza hotel in Cherry Hill.

Fucetola led Williamstown to a 12-0 record and the first South Jersey title in the history of the program. The Braves finished the season as the No. 1 team in The Inquirer Top 10.

Fucetola has a 108-63 record in 16 seasons at Williamstown. His teams are 76-17 since 2004, including a 54-9 mark since 2007.

In other highlights, Bill Manlove was presented with the Edward G. Myer Distinguished Service Award.

Manlove is a South Jersey native who led Widener University to a pair of NCAA Division III national titles and is a member of the college football Hall of Fame.

The banquet also featured the introduction of the All-South Jersey football team, selected by The Inquirer in conjunction with the club and area coaches.

The club honored four college players of the year: Penn State's Gerald Hodges (Paulsboro); Maine's Chris Howley (Triton); Johns Hopkins' Taylor Maciow (Cherokee); and Gettysburg's Kody Smith (Shawnee).
