Chini new baseball coach at St. Joseph

St. Joseph has hired Rich Chini as its new baseball coach, the school announced Thursday.

Chini was the baseball coach at Egg Harbor Township from 2006 to 2010. He also has been an assistant coach at Oakcrest and Monmouth University.

In a statement, St. Joseph athletic director Bill Hiltner said: "Rich best combined the qualities of experience, energy, and commitment that we were looking for in a head coach."   - Phil Anastasia
