Fri. S.J. boys' roundup: C.H. East wins Whitaker Tournament

Tournament host Cherry Hill East survived a late rally from Pennsauken and took the title, 48-46, in the Virginia Whitaker Tournament on Friday night.

The Cougars' Gary Hettinger scored 13 of his team-high 15 points in the second half. Teammate Jake Silpe dished out nine assists.

In the consolation game, Amir Maddred tallied 17 points as Camden turned away Williamstown, 62-41.

Camden County Tech Tournament. Tournament MVP Khyri Hill's 13 points led Clayton to a 66-57 win over Camden County Tech in the championship game.

Buena's Trayvond Barbary scored 22 points to clinch the consolation prize as the Chiefs defeated Maple Shade, 68-46.

Lenape Holiday Showcase. Cameron Green scored 17 points to lead host Lenape over Sterling, 50-40.

Nick Depersia scored a game-high 13 as Haddonfield won, 61-40, over Willingboro.

Delsea's Cedric Elleby scored his 1,000th career point and finished with 26 in a losing effort as the Crusaders fell to Malvern Prep, 56-44.

Woodstown Wolverine Tournament. Woodstown finished the game on a 16-6 run and was led by Jayson Hankins' 23 points to take down Haddon Township, 60-50, in the championship game.

KSA Tournament. Kevin Sotell hit two treys in the fourth quarter to lift Cinnaminson to a 62-58 win over West Forsyth (Ga.) in Orlando.

Butch McLean Memorial Tournament. Kenny Davis' 17 points helped Burlington Township to a 61-55 win over tournament host Haddon Heights in the championship. Davis was named tournament MVP.

Triton's Dave Daniluk finished with 23 points as the Mustangs defeated GAMP, 52-50, in the consolation game.

Boardwalk Classic. Cherokee moved past Woodbury, 44-34, behind 12 points from Kyle Kahriger.

Francis Christian scored 20 to lead all scorers as Wildwood defeated Pleasantville, 43-42.

Four players scored in double digits for Absegami as the Braces won, 56-49 over Cedar Creek.

Colt Classic. Millville's Khaliq Ford scored 18 points to lead Millville over Schalick, 70-66, in the championship.

Steven Logan led all scorers with a game high 18 points as Salem outlasted host Cumberland in the consolation game, 51-47.

Michael Tucker Tournament. Host Bordentown raced past Palmyra, 50-25, paced by Mike Jacob's 20 points.

Gloucester Christian Holiday Tournament. Senior Antoine Laster poured in 20 points to give International Christian a 48-36 win over Concord Christian.

Pitman Classic. Pitman trounced Kingsway, 72-47, with Tim Delaney scoring 19 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in the championship.

In the consolation game, Overbrook's Allen Gaskins scored 15 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter to hold off Glassboro, 82-72.

Audubon Tournament. Gloucester took down tournament host Audubon, 48-36. Eric Schroth hit three treys en route to 15 points for the Green Wave.

SJ Private Schools vs. Philly Private Schools. St. Joseph's Brian Mitchell dropped 29 points to lead the Wildcats to a 55-52 win over Bonner-Prendergast.
