Alex Kourahanis, Timber Creek, Sr. A blend of tenacity and sheer will, Kourahanis was one of the state's most dangerous scorers and led the Chargers to a typically strong season. He had 31 goals, a Timber Creek record, and 15 assists this season. His 61 career goals are also a school record.

Doug Denny, Delran, Sr. Denny's 21 assists this season were an eye-popping stat, but they were overshadowed by a single goal: the winner he scored in overtime of Delran's Group 2 state-title win over Newton.

Derek Mackinnon, Washington Township, Jr. Mackinnon was the most electric players on one of the most complete offenses that South Jersey boys' soccer has ever seen. He recorded 38 goals and 23 assists and earned a spot on the NSCAA Youth All-American team, one of only three state players to do so.

Kyler White, Haddon Township, Jr. In his first year of high school soccer - after a stint as a goalie for the Philadelphia Union Academy - White played forward and was predictably dominant. He paired 27 goals, a Haddon Township single-season record, with 19 assists.

Lou Vilotti, Washington Township, Jr. Vilotti, this year's Inquirer Player of the Year in South Jersey, was one of the area's most technically skilled players. Combining those skills with tremendous vision led to his 14 goals and 21 assists this season.

Luke Pease, Haddonfield, Sr. Pease was one of the most dangerous all-around players in the Colonial Conference. Of his seven goals, three were winners. He also led the Bulldogs with 11 assists.

Tyler Logar, Washington Township, Sr. Logar was a senior leader and something of an unsung hero on a flashy Minutemen offense. Despite Logar's recording 13 goals and 12 assists - modest figures compared to those of some of his teammates - Washington Township coach Shane Snyder often referred to him as the engine that made the team run.

Michael Clauss, Cherry Hill West, Sr. Clauss has long been among the area's most feared defenders. This year, he led a Cherry Hill West team that was one of South Jersey's best.

Steve Pashuck, Ocean City, Sr. Pashuck was the senior captain and leader of an Ocean City defense that was lights-out in the postseason. The Red Raiders recorded five straight shutouts, including a surprising 2-0 blanking of Timber Creek in the South Jersey Group 3 final.

Christian Morgan, Timber Creek, Sr. In 24 games, Timber Creek allowed just 15 goals and recorded 14 shutouts. Morgan, one of the area's strongest and most aggressive one-on-one defenders, was the catalyst of much of that success.

Scott LaPan, Haddon Township, Sr. Playing at the pinball-machine-like Recchino Field, the tightest pitch in South Jersey, LaPan recorded 10 shutouts this season and a school-record 32 for his career. At 6-foot-3, LaPan is big, strong, and acrobatic in net. He was also a vocal leader for the Hawks.
