Abbott scored 25 points and went 10 for 10 from the field as Deptford beat host Wildwood, 57-47, in a nonleague boys' contest.
Abbott did most of his damage on midrange jump shots and layups, with just one of his shots coming from beyond the arc.
The Spartans raced to a 26-7 lead after one quarter and led throughout.
Mikal Poteat was Wildwood's leading scorer with 11 points.
In other nonleague action:
Matt Klinewski dropped in 32 points for Eastern as the Vikings sneaked by visiting Camden, 63-57. The senior center also pulled down 15 rebounds. Malik Sanders and Alex Barr each added 11 points. Brad Hawkins led Camden with 29.
Northern Burlington rode a big first half to a 47-42 win over visiting Bordentown. The Greyhounds outscored Bordentown, 24-12, before intermission. Cameron Tucker paced Northern Burlington with 18 points, and Marhshe Terry added 11. Myron Gordon scored a team-high 16 for Bordentown, and Shane Jardine tallied 12.
A 30-16 run after halftime allowed Paul VI to cruise past visiting Cherokee, 48-33. The Eagles' Jay Howard scored a game-high 16 points, and Matt Risse backed him with 13. Kyle Kahriger led Cherokee with 10 points.
Cherry Hill East pulled away in the second half to defeat host Shawnee, 56-35. The Cougars outscored Shawnee, 29-16, after halftime. Tim Perry led all players with 13 points. Teammates Jake Silpe and Phil Cunha also reached double figures, with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Michael Martin scored eight of his 13 points in the fourth quarter as visiting Lenape downed Woodrow Wilson, 59-54. Martin hit two three-pointers and two free throws in the quarter. Cole Moody added 10 points and nine rebounds. Tarre Plowden and Nigel Sánchez each tallied 15 points for Woodrow Wilson.
Tri-County. Fifteen of Jordan Rodney's 17 points came in the first half as Kingsway avoided a late collapse against visiting Clearview with a 55-49 win. Marcus Robinson tallied 15 points. Kingsway had a 35-17 lead at halftime, but Clearview outscored the Dragons, 32-20, in the second half to cut the lead.
Kaleb Morton hit a six-foot jumper with less than five seconds remaining to push Delsea past visiting Gloucester Catholic, 53-52. Morton scored 11 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter. Matt Green led the Lions with 19 points.
Cape-Atlantic National. Trevor Little scored six of his 13 points in a decisive second quarter that helped Oakcrest top host Hammonton, 51-44. Little finished with a team-leading 13 points. LaDarrell Dixon contributed 11. For Hammonton, Justin Harris scored 15 and Trey Huey added 13.
Wrestling
Aaron Swann's major decision over Anthony Ehrline helped lead Pennsauken over host Moorestown, 34-31, in a Burlington County League showdown.
Swann defeated Ehrline, 15-6, in the 182-pound bout. Moorestown swung back at 285, with Tyreek Smith earning a 10-0 major decision over Jeff Augustus.
Bowling
A strong outing from Chris Pagliuso helped Shawnee top visiting Cherry Hill West, 3-1, in an Olympic Conference matchup.
Pagliuso registered a high game of 234 and a high series of 626 for the Renegades. Gary Coates earned a high game of 226, and a high series of 604 for Cherry Hill West.
