Taylor Gilligan needed only one home run to break the Shawnee softball career record.

But by the end of Shawnee's 32-1, nonleague blowout of visiting Camden Catholic on Tuesday, Gilligan launched not only career homer No. 12, but her 13th and 14th home runs, as well. Debbie DeJong previously held the school record of 11.

Gilligan, a junior catcher, finished the day 5 for 5 with a grand slam, six runs, and 10 RBIs. Madison LaPlante was 5 for 5 with two doubles, four runs, and three RBIs.

In other nonleague play:

Hannah Kraszewski was perfect at the plate with three hits, a run, and four RBIs to power host Maple Shade to a 13-0 win over Palmyra. Winning pitcher Lauren Booth allowed two hits and struck out four.

Jess Hughes doubled, tripled, drove in a run, and scored three times as Washington Township shut out visiting Cherry Hill West, 8-0.

Janna Gaburo struck out eight over seven innings to earn the win for host Schalick, which topped Deptford, 7-5.

Dana Fine went 3 for 3 and knocked in two runs during Doane Academy's 6-2 triumph at Trenton Central. Leah Simpson was 3 for 4.

Andyna Mosley belted two hits, scored two runs, and drove in three for Bridgeton, which doubled up Winslow Township at home, 10-5. Sharnice Williams was 2 for 2 with two RBIs and a run.

Kate Korte went 3 for 4 with four RBIs and a run as Egg Harbor Township beat Delsea on the road, 9-5. Winning pitcher Hunter Irvin struck out nine.

Colonial. Haley Pease hit a walk-off, line-drive single to give host Sterling an 8-7 victory over Overbrook in eight innings.

Alex Sims hit a two-out home run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game.

In another Colonial Conference game, Maddie Stebich scattered four hits, allowed two runs, and struck out four as visiting Woodbury took down Gateway, 4-2. Sierra Thomas was 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI.


Kristin Biche deposited four goals, and Ally Criscolo recorded a hat trick for Bishop Eustace, which defeated Cherokee in a nonleague game at home, 11-9.

Defender Sarah Furey forced seven turnovers to set a school record for the Crusaders. Jessica Havers had a game-high five goals for Cherokee.

In other nonleague action, Peyton Sventy netted nine goals to lead Rancocas Valley to a 20-13 home win against West Windsor-Plainsboro South. McKayla Montgomery registered five goals.

Olympic American. Caroline Shinske scored four goals and Caroline Farley added a hat trick for Shawnee, which trumped Eastern, 15-4.

Molly Baechler, Liza Barr, and Maddie Bray put in two goals each.

Olympic Patriot. Clearview received hat tricks from Gianna Bowe, Kasey Diodati, Ali Donohue, Jackie Pauling, and Holly Tevis en route to a 19-6 home victory over Seneca.

Talia Bouzakis had two goals.

Friends Schools. Noelle Smith led all players with five goals to spark Moorestown Friends to an 18-3 win at Abington Friends.

Katie Repholtz finished with a hat trick. Vicki Geyer, Katrina Savon, and Steph Walker added two goals each.
