S.J. boys and girls: Moorestown prevails to extend streak

This one wasn't easy for the Moorestown girls' lacrosse team. The Quakers, ranked second in the country in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine poll, earned an 8-6 nonleague victory Tuesday at Rumson-Fair Haven to extend their winning streak to 81 games.

The Quakers, ranked second in the country in the Nike/Lacrosse Magazine poll, earned an 8-6 nonleague victory Tuesday at Rumson-Fair Haven to extend their winning streak to 81 games.

Adriana Pendino scored three goals and Alex O'Donnell added two while Jess Goralski had five saves for the Quakers, who improved to 4-0.

Rumson-Fair Haven, the Group 2 runner-up last season, was led by Brittany Bruno (three goals) and Maggie Jennings (two.)

In other nonleague action, Samantha Mlkvy and Alexis Pettisani each netted four goals to help Eastern roll over visiting Haddon Township, 17-0. Austyn Cuneo scored three times for the Vikings.

Cape-Atlantic. Kiersten Campbell, Julia Falbo and Hannah Mackler each recorded three goals and one assist to lead Atlantic City to a 10-5 victory over visiting Holy Spirit. It was the first win in program history for the Vikings, who are in their first year as a varsity team. Georgia Turner made 14 saves.

Boys' lacrosse

Joe Eisele scored three goals to carry St. Augustine to a 12-4 victory at Penn Charter in a nonleague game.

Bryce McGrath added two goals and three assists for St. Augustine.

In other nonleague action, Connor Campbell and Garrett Entress scored three goals each to help Atlantic City beat Holy Spirit, 7-4.
