The boys' soccer matchup Thursday between Cinnaminson and Palmyra didn't have any postseason ramifications.

Both teams already had playoff games scheduled.

And it had little influence on the Burlington County league standings, as they play in different divisions.

But when Mason Stepnowski headed in a second-half goal to give Cinnaminson a 1-0 win at Palmyra, it still had meaning - because it came against the Pirates' neighbor and rival.

Cinnaminson coach Jason Miele said players on both teams grew up playing together and against each other since their youth soccer days.

It was also a chance for Cinnaminson to prepare for its Nov. 3 matchup against Pinelands in the first round of the South Jersey Group 2 tournament.

In other Burlington County League action, Maple Shade beat Riverside, 1-0, thanks to a second-half goal from Devin Plumlee.

Olympic Conference. Tanner Koch scored in the second half, lifting Eastern over host Cherry Hill East, 1-0. Daniel Lim assisted on the score and Gabe Sable made five saves.

Cape-Atlantic League. Christian Rafter's hat trick led the surge from host Middle Township in a 7-2 win against Cedar Creek. Trent Canter added two goals and Brendan Forrest and Tim Sawyer each scored one.

Alex Grueso scored a goal and had an assist as Absegami defeated host Buena, 4-1. Andrew Griggs, Kelvin Seim, and Andrew Seim also scored.

Nonleague. Danny Morgan gave host Rancocas Valley a 1-0 win over Kingsway by scoring with 40 seconds left in overtime.

A goal in the first half from Tommy Van Gemert was enough for host Clearview to defeat Moorestown, 1-0. Jared Simmerman and Ronin Costello combined for eight saves.

Two-goal games from Michael D'Orio and Tyler Lunsford paced Schalick in a 4-0 win over visiting Gloucester Catholic. Chris Lenahan made nine saves.

Lawrence and host Florence played to a 2-2 tie. Yuriy Kryskiv scored two goals for Lawrence and Brandon Leip and Hunter Swanson each scored once for Florence.

NCSAA quarterfinals. Ryan Anderson scored a hat trick in the first half of King's Christian's 5-1 win over First Baptist Christian. The victory was coach Brian Gibney's 700th career win, and it also advanced the Crusaders to the semifinals. Josh Meyers and Israel Reyes also scored.

Cross-Country

Pennsville's Adam Quann won the Tri-County Conference championship, finishing the 3.1-mile course at Cumberland in 16 minutes, 4 seconds. Kingsway won the team championship.

Cape-Atlantic League. Ocean City's Patrick Cusack completed the 3.1-mile course at Millville in 17:02 to win the individual championship. Ocean City also won the title as a team.
