All-South Jersey football defense: 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams

First team
DL: Aaron Acosta 6-2 270 Sr. Lenape. South Jersey's Defensive Player of the Year was a dominant force for the S.J. 5 champions.
DL: Travon King 6-3 200 Sr. Woodrow Wilson. The Rutgers recruit had 16.5 sacks for the 8-4 Tigers, who made the S.J. 3 final.
DL: Gabe Klaus 6-2 220 Jr. Haddonfield. He had 68 tackles, including 11 for loss, and 10.5 sacks for the S.J. 2 champions.
LB: Mike Galaida 5-10 200 Sr. Lenape. He was a tackling machine in the middle of South Jersey's stiffest defense.
LB: Marcus Hillman 6-0 185 Sr. Camden Catholic. He had 84 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss and 15 sacks and also doubled as a top running back for the 8-2 Irish.
LB: Joe Bonczek 6-1 200 Jr. St. Augustine. He led the Hermits with 119 tackles, including 15 tackles for loss.
DB: Clayton Scott 5-9 175 Sr. Millville. He was a playmaker on both sides of the field for the 9-2 Thunderbolts.
DB: Dehron Holloway 5-7 165 Sr. Paulsboro. He also was a top running back who returned an INT for a TD in the Red Raiders' victory in the S.J. 1 title game.
DB: Isaih Pacheco 6-0 200 Sr. Vineland. The Rutgers recruit ran for 1,414 yards as a quarterback and was a heavy-hitting cornerback.
DB: Kevin Gsell 6-2 205 Sr. Seneca. He had 91 tackles with 5 INTs and set school record with 24 tackles in a playoff game vs. Timber Creek.
DB: Zaire Jones 6-0 180 Sr. Salem. He scored 29 TDs as a running back but also was a top DB who made three INTs, returning two for TDs.
AP: Iverson Clement 6-0 190 Sr. Rancocas Valley. The Florida recruit ran for 1,419 yards and 13 TDs and returned three punts for TDs, including the game-winner in the S.J. 5 semifinals vs. Millville.
P: Dan Kay 5-11 200 Jr. Camden Catholic. He dropped six punts inside the 20-yard line for the WJFL Constitution champions.
