To those who know Eagles running back Corey Clement, it's no surprise that he has played such an important role in the Birds' run to the Super Bowl. Here is a photo look back at his time at Glassboro High School, in 2011 and 2012.

In his senior season of 2012, Clement  ran for 2,323 yards to increase his career total to 6,245, tops in South Jersey history and fifth on the state's all-time list.

On Nov. 4, 2012, Clement added to his total with 283 yards in a 51-6 win at Gloucester Catholic. Clement scored touchdowns on four of the nine times he carried the ball that day, including a 78-yard rip up the middle on Glassboro's first play from scrimmage. His other touchdown runs that day were from 24, 60, and 59 yards.

As a junior in 2011, Clement made the Inquirer's all-South Jersey first team as the all-purpose slot because of his excellence on defense and in the kicking game as well as a rusher.  That season, Clement set a South Jersey record with 2,510 rushing yards. He also scored 36 touchdowns in leading the Bulldogs to a 10-2 record and the South Jersey Group 1 title.

As a junior is 2011, Clement scored 229 points to become the first Glassboro player to win the South Jersey individual scoring championship since Sean Redman won it in 1984 with 200 points.

In one game in 2012, Clement rushed 11 times for 94 yards to become the first South Jersey running back to post consecutive 2,000-yard seasons.
