Friday's S.J. roundup: Seneca boys' basketball rallies to beat Shawnee

The Seneca boys' basketball team trailed by as many as 10 points in the second half Friday to come from behind to stun Shawnee, 50-49. The Golden Eagles shot a perfect 11 of 11 from the foul line in the fourth quarter while captain Jack Brockett led all scorers with 26 points.

Cornelius Brozell made five threes en rout to 18 points, six rebounds, and five blocks as Mainland edged Pleasantville, 59-56. Duncan Scandin  added 16 points for the Mustangs.

Luke Vallaro scored 15 points in Ocean City's 63-57 triumph over Oakcrest. The Red Raiders outscored the Falcons by 14 in the fourth quarter. Jacob McQuarrie added 14 points for the victors.

Bryce Barndt paced GCIT with 16 points in a 56-54 victory over Pennsuaken. The Cheetahs overcame a 10-point fourth quarter deficit.

Justin McNichols notched 19 points as Clearview topped Audubon, 53-37. Dan Sullivan chipped in with 12 points for the Pioneers.

Jeff Undercuffler's 18 points lifted Holy Cross over West Deptford, 47-39. Kevin Wood added 13 points for the Lancers.

Smokie Cirillo recorded 19 points as Hammonton downed Williamstown, 55-50.

Jordan Livingston scored a game-high 17 points in Burlington Township's 79-43 win over Palmyra. Emmanuel Ayetigbo and JohnPaul Oluwadare contributed 14 and 12 points, respectively, for the Falcons.

Pedro Cruz put up 17 points in Schalik's 67-36 win over Cumberland Christian.

Jack Stern scored 13 points as Moorestown Friends lost to Abington Friends, 62-33. Ace Bibbs led all scorers with 15 points for the Kangaroos.

Girls' Basketball

Bella Runyan and Charlotte Stern accounted for 44 points in Moorestown Friends' 54-39 triumph over Abington Friends.

Trinee Gadson scored 15 points as Glassboro edged Pitman, 41-38. Deji Cook contributed with 12 points for the Bulldogs.

Hannah Cooksey recorded a game-high 23 points to lead Pennsville past Woodstown, 51-42. Arianna Smith had 12 points for the Eagles.

Melvonna Singleton finished with 15 points and eight rebounds as Palmyra defeated Burlington Township, 37-28. Melisa Hawkins added seven points and 11 rebounds for the Panthers.

Ciana Viccharelli posted 15 points as Shawnee rolled past Seneca, 63-44. Sierra Sanson and Lauren Lodge added 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Renegades.

Ocean City used a balanced attack of 11 scorers, none of which in double figures, in a 57-13 win over Oakcrest.
