All-South Jersey preseason boys' basketball teams

Dylan Deveney and Dean Noll from Shawnee, Ray Bethea from Atlantic City, Myles Thompson from Camden and Maurice Murray from Timber Creek are first-team selections.

First Team

Ray Bethea 6-foot-5 Sr. Atlantic City: He's a Howard recruit and a top all-around player who can score, rebound, defend and
dish. He averaged 18.8 points last season.

Dylan Deveney 6-6 Sr. Shawnee: He's a top three-point shooter who can move inside and score in the paint. He averaged 16.6
points last season.

Maurice Murray 6-6 Sr. Timber Creek: He's a smooth, natural scorer who can bury deep threes and also get to the rim. He
averaged 25.7 points.

Dean Noll 6-1 Sr. Shawnee: He's a smart, skilled player who was a go-to guy for key stretches of Shawnee's 29-3 run to
the Group 4 state title game last season. He averaged 15.1 points.

Myles Thompson 6-6 Sr. Camden: He's a St. Francis recruit and a burly athlete with a deft touch on 12-15-footers, a rare
skill these days. He averaged 17.5 points and 9.2 rebounds last season.

Second Team

Baba Ajike 6-5 Jr. Camden Catholic: He's a top athlete with a great feel around the cup and an improving skill set away
from the basket. He averaged 14.4 points.

Mike DePersia 6-0 Jr. Haddonfield: He's a clever lefthander who can score and dish as well as anyone in South Jersey. He
averaged 14.9 points.

Aaron Estrada 6-4 Jr. Woodbury: He's a smart, rangy lefthander who could be poised to step into state-wide prominence this
season.

Caleb Fields 6-1 Sr. Wildwood Catholic: He's a Bowling Green recruit, explosive athlete and talented all-around player.

Marlon Hargis 6-6 Sr. St. Augustine: He's a three-year starter and top athlete who likely will be the Hermits' go-to guy
after the graduation of Justyn Mutts and Austin Kennedy. He averaged 10.7 points.

Third team

Anthony DiCaro 6-3 Jr. Cherokee: He's a deadly outside shooter who made 50 threes last season and likely will get to the rim
more this season.

Corey Greer 6-0 Sr. Camden: He's a consummate floor leader looking to bounce back from missing most of last season with
knee injury. He averaged 11.2 points as a sophomore.

Pat Kernan 6-3 Jr. Shawnee: He's a smooth operator on the brink of becoming one of South Jersey's top players.

Jacquay Mendez 6-1 Sr. Bordentown: He is a versatile player who averaged 14.7 points, six boards, three steals, three assists.

Andrew Sims 6-6 Sr. Lenape: He's an inside-outside threat who averaged 13.8 points for the patient Indians last season.

Divine Anderson 5-10 Sr. Pleasantville: He is a dynamic playmaker who averaged 18.1 points and eight  assists.

Jesse Barbera 6-0 Sr. Eastern: This three-year starter as point guard averaged 11.3 points.

Luke Castagna 5-10 Sr. Pitman: He's a top outside shooter who averaged 20.1 points.

Jalen Collins 6-5 Sr, Triton: He's a clever lefthander with a good skill set who averaged 13.1 points.

Damola Dairo 6-5 Sr. Highland: He's a top athlete who excels at the defensive end.

Kadian Dawkins 6-2 Sr. Rancocas Valley: This clever ball-handler averaged 12.3 points for the Red Devils.

Dominic Dunn 6-4 Sr. Camden Catholic: He's an inside-outside threat and three-year starter who averaged 14.1 points.

Jabril Enmond 6-4 Sr. Florence: He averaged 14.5 points for the Flashes.

Kyion Flanders 6-0 Sr. Wildwood: He's South Jersey's top returning scorer who averaged 28.9 points.

Jalen Freeman 6-1 Jr. Middle Township: This top athlete averaged 15.1 points as a sophomore.

Javon Gordon 5-9 Jr. Delsea: He is a top all-around player who averaged 13.4 points and three steals.

Sean Heine 6-3 Sr. Shawnee: He's a top baseball pitcher but excels as a three-point threat for the Renegades.

Pat Holden 5-10 Lower Cape May: This instinctive, tireless player averaged 24.5 points.

Jared Latane 5-8 Sr. Haddon Heights: He's a creative player who can score, dish and defend. He averaged 17.8 points.

Rynell Lawrence 6-0 Jr. Millville: He is a top athlete with all-around skills who averaged 18.6 points.

Stan Martin 5-10 Sr. Westampton Tech: He's a top outside shooter and clever play maker.

Bobby Mangum 6-2 Sr. Winslow Twp.: He's a rangy athlete who can score, rebound, dish and defend.

Dante Masino 6-2 Sr. Highland: He's a three-year starter and top all-around player.

Tysheim McClennan-Perkins 6-5 Sr. Winslow Twp.: He's a top inside player for the three-time defending South Jersey Group 3
champions.

Mattia Morini 6-6 Jr. Bishop Eustace: This exchange student from Italy has size, skill and a great feel for the game.

Uche Okafor 6-7 Jr. Camden Catholic: He is a Nigerian exchange student who is an athletic inside player who sat out last season with an injury.

Mike Patterson 6-0 Sr. Williamstown: This three-year starter averaged 12.4 points last season.

Conor Regan 6-4 Jr. Gloucester Catholic: He is a deadly outside shooter who made 80 threes as a sophomore.

Jawan Roane 6-5 Sr. Penns Grove: This transfer from Woodstown is athletic slasher who gets to the rim with ease. He averaged
20.1 points and 10.1 boards.

Daevon Robinson 6-4 Sr. Shawnee: He's a top football player who is an all-around contributor on the basketball court.

Chris Roe 6-0 Sr. Sterling: He's a natural scorer who gets to the rim and averaged 17.2 points.

Marcellus Ross 6-0 Jr. St. Joseph: This smooth player has deep range and averaged 20.4 points.

Isaiah Sanders 6-4 Sr.Timber Creek: He's an explosive leaper who averaged 17.5 points.

Ethan Tarte 6-2 Jr. Camden: He's an athletic slasher who can get to the basket as well as a top defender.

Greg Thurman 6-0 Sr. Willingboro: He averaged 14.9 points for the Chimeras.

D'Andre Thurmond 6-5 Sr. Burlington City: He's an inside force who averaged 14.3 points last season.

Taj Thweatt 6-5 Soph. Wildwood Catholic: He averaged 9.3 points and 5.6 rebound as freshman.

Peyton Vostenak 6-3 Sr. Bishop Eustace: He's a top outside shooter who also can get to the rim.

Josh Wright 6-0 Jr. Cape May Tech: This top athlete and natural scorer averaged 24.3 points.

Jagger Zrada 5-10 Jr, Moorestown: He's a top ball-handler and play maker for the Quakers.

Worth the wait

Zafir Brower 6-2 Sr. Highland: He's likely out until early to mid-January with a broken foot. He's a clever lefty with range
from deep who averaged 17.3 points last season.

Matt Cotton 6-5 Sr. Eastern: He's a Yale recruit who will sit out 30 days as a transfer from St. Benedict's. He's a top
outside shooter who also can get to the rim.

Lance Ware 6-8 Soph. Camden: He's a transfer from Life Center who will sit out 30 days. He's a smooth lefthander with a
great skill set who could develop into one of South Jersey's top players in a hurry.
