Friday's S.J. roundup: Warren Bethea tops 1,000 career points in Camden County Tech's win over Overbrook

Warren Bethea recorded his 1,000 career point and scored 24 Friday as the Camden County Tech boys' basketball team defeated Overbrook, 77-70. Davaughn Williams matched Bethea with 24 points, while Zayre Kinslow added 13 points for the Warriors.

Jalen Collins poured in 33 points as Triton upended Haddon Township, 56-51.

Kenny Pickron finished with 19 points as New Foundations knocked off King's Christian, 65-45, in the Penn-Jersey League quarterfinals. Jordan Gomes contributed with 16 points for the victors. New Foundations will play Girard College Tuesday.

Jalen Busby posted a game-high 26 points as Oakcrest held off Cedar Creek, 58-51. Steffran Watts contributed with 14 points for the Falcons.

Pat O'Malley scored 15 points in Holy Cross' 45-40 victory over Moorestown Friends. Jeff Undercuffler had 10 points for the Lancers.

Jaedan Sheehan paced Bordentown with 17 points in a 67-60 triumph over Northern Burlington. Jacquey Mendez pitched in with 15 points for the Scotties.

Duncan Scandin ended with 11 points to help Mainland to a 42-35 victory over Lower Cape May. All of the Mustangs' eight points in the fourth quarter came from the free throw line.

Anthony Mitchell scored a game-high 26 points as Glassboro rolled past Salem, 73-44. Kwandel Tokley added 15 points for the Bulldogs.

Girls' Basketball

Marianna Papazoglou made a school-record seven threes that tied a career-high 33 points in Wildwood Catholic's 66-34 victory over Buena. Erin Connelly added 10 points for the Crusaders.

Bella Runyan and Charlotte Stern scored eight points apiece, but Moorestown Friends fell to Abington Friends, 42-24, in the Friends Schools League championship. Mihjae Hayes and Kendall Hodges led the Kangaroos with 12 points each.

Ashley Jackson had 23 points as Vineland beat Absegami, 72-65. Briel Herbert added 19 points for the Fighting Clan. Haleigh Schafer led all scorers with 27 points and 13 rebounds in defeat.

Dasia Wright and scored a game-high 19 points as Medford Tech edged Burlington Township, 48-47. Sionnie Mathis added 12 points for the Jaguars.

Tamarah Lowber recorded 31 points, eight rebounds, and eight steals to lead Deptford past Bridgeton, 63-51. Reese Evans chipped in with 12 points for the Spartans.

Shayla Sweeney led all scorers with 30 points as Pennsauken took down Florence, 63-20. Evelyn Cortorreal had 11 points for the Indians.

Julianna Lynch scored 13 points as Ocean City beat Holy Spirit, 33-28. Paige Sofield added nine points for the Red Raiders.

Wrestling 

Paulsboro's Brandon Green pinned Woodtown's Robert Parkwell in 56 seconds to help win the NJSIAA South Jersey, Group 1 tournament, 51-12
