Quarterback Evan O'Donnell connected with receiver Chris Lochetta with just more than a minute left to give Central Bucks East a 27-20 victory over Central Bucks West on Saturday. O'Donnell and Jake Ventresca ran in touchdowns for East. Kicker Mike Smigley made two field goals, including one from 27 yards out to tie the game in the fourth quarter.

Kamal Gray threw four touchdown passes as Pope John Paul II defeated Phoenixville, 28-12. Gray connected with receiver Justin Kormos for three touchdowns, including
a Haily Mary before the end of the first half.

Ishaad Maultsby totaled three touchdowns in Chester's 38-0 victory over Glen Mills. Maultsby ran in an early score and caught two touchdown passes from quarterback Tahree Fuller-Bryan.

Jeb Brenfleck tossed four touchdown passes as Academy of New Church topped Lower Moreland, 39-0. Glenn Sabb II caught two touchdowns, including a 44-yard score. Zahir Reed caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Brenfleck.

James Hobbs-Pifer scored in the 80th minute off a an assist from Nolan Grady as Germantown Friends defeated Central, 1-0. Goalkeeper Eli Kushner earned his fourth shutout of the season.

Girls’ Tennis
Lower Moreland's Nikole Lisovyy defeated Delco Christian's Brette Foutch to win the District 1 Class AA singles championship. Lisovyy won in two sets, 6-3 and 6-4.

North Penn's Neha Velaga and Council Rock North's Amelia Honer advanced to the District 1 Class AAA singles championship. Velaga defeated Downingtown West's Jordan Bradley, and Honer defeated Souderton's Caitlin Le in the semifinals. The two will face each other on Oct. 24 for the district championship.
