Archbishop Ryan has been to the Catholic League boys' soccer playoffs for the last 19 years.

That impressive streak was in jeopardy Monday in a pre-playoff game at Archbishop Carroll before Brandon Beaumont found an opening and scored the game-tying goal with 20 seconds remaining in regulation.

Ryan Stevens then scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Raiders won, 3-2. Ryan (11-6-2) made the playoffs for the 32d time since 1976. Mark Vogelman also scored for Ryan.

Andrew Bulman and Sam Reigner scored for Carroll.

The Raiders missed the playoffs only in the 1990 season. The Carroll Patriots fell to 10-8-1.

The Ryan-Carroll game was one of four league contests in which a playoff spot was the reward. All four losing teams were eliminated.

Ryan advances to a playoff date at North Catholic on Wednesday.

In other pre-playoff games:

Both Roman Catholic and visiting Lansdale Catholic played through four quarters and two overtimes scoreless before the Cahillites won, 3-1, on penalty kicks.

Tommy Bottoms was the fourth penalty kicker for Roman, and his shot ended the game. Prior to that, teammates Fran Vogelman and Nico Delgado made their shots, and Roman goalie Chris Woods came on big on shots by Sean Rooney and James Pinder. Alex Wilson scored the only penalty kick goal for the Crusaders.

Tolani Ibikunle and Rob Poli each scored twice as host St. Joseph's Prep overwhelmed Kennedy-Kenrick, 7-2. The Hawks (10-5-2) also got goals from Johnny Gregitis, Alex Littleton and Fran Smith and travel to Archbishop Wood for a first-round playoff date Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Conwell-Egan overwhelmed Neumann-Goretti, 7-0, behind a pair of goals from Matt DiLiegro and a pair of assists from Ian Monagle.

It was the second straight seven-goal game for the prolific Eagles' attack. They won, 7-1, last week against visiting Archbishop Carroll.

Conwell-Egan has beaten Neumann-Goretti three times this season, including an earlier 3-2 overtime win in Fairless Hills.

Erin Rodriguez had five saves in goal for the Eagles.
