Poplawski, a 6-foot sophomore, blocked a shot with four seconds left to preserve the Cougars' 45-43 win.
Poplawski, who finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds, blocked a shot into the hands of teammate Kelsi Chazin (12 points), who dribbled the final four seconds away.
Suburban One National. Devin Gold scored 17 points for Council Rock North in its 40-35 win at Council Rock South. The Indians made 13 of their 14 free throws.
Alex Wheatley had 17 points and 19 rebounds for Council Rock South.
Ches-Mont. Corrine Blue made the most of her first varsity start, scoring 13 points to help host Unionville past Octorara, 53-39.
Blue, a junior who is usually one of the first players off the bench for the Indians (7-4 overall, 3-2 league), responded by scoring six points to help Unionville to a 17-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Alison Lewis, who also scored six points in the first quarter, shared team-high honors with Blue, finishing with 13 points.
Boys' Basketball
Brendan McNamee scored 12 of his 14 points in the first half to help Springfield (Delaware County) Central League win at Radnor, 46-31.
Ches-Mont. Samuel Tavoni scored 14 of his 23 points in the final quarter to rally host Kennett past Oxford, 58-55.
Susie Pancoast added 13 rebounds and five assists to go with her eight points.
Octorara had the game's leading scorer in Tyshia White, who had 21 points.
Wrestling
Jesse Laughton registered a 56-second pin at 140 pounds to highlight Sun Valley's 51-15 Ches-Mont League win at Oxford.
Laughton had one of three first-period pins for the Vanguards. Jimmy Chen (171 pounds) and heavyweight Vaughn Fulton had the others.
Oxford's Ryan Montgomery had a 52-second pin at 152. Teammate Jason Hostetter (160) also earned a first-period pin.
