All-Southeastern Pa. Field Hockey First Team

Forward/Player of the Year Caroline Troncelliti, Villa Maria Academy Troncelliti had a knack for putting the ball in the cage. Her 40 goals were tops for the Hurricanes, who won a record-setting fifth straight District 1 Class AA championship and their 10th overall this season. Troncelliti, a senior, was a key as Villa reached the PIAA Class AA title game before losing to Wyoming Seminary, 3-2.

Heather Morris, Owen J. Roberts

Morris joined the Wildcats this year after two seasons at the Hill School. She was a welcome addition, helping to lead them to a 23-3 record and their first District 1 Class AAA title. She was among the area's leaders in goals, with 42.

Kayla Kenney, Central Bucks South

The senior is headed to Villanova on a full scholarship. There, she will join former Titans teammate Madison Harding on the Wildcats squad. According to C.B. South coach Marie Schmucker, Kenney is very "cool and collected" on the field. She also has great stickwork.

Gabby Major, Spring-Ford

There was no "sophomore jinx" for Major, who had made people sit up and take notice last season when she was a freshman. In leading the Rams to a 17-7 record and a berth in the PIAA Class AAA playoffs, Major scored 33 goals and added seven assists this season.

Brooke Sabia, Mount St. Joseph

Half of the Magic's Sabia duo - twin Allie is the other half - Brooke Sabia added plenty of speed to the team's attack. Playing a defensive middie spot, the senior finished the season with 15 goals and seven assists. She had 38 career goals.

Amanda Fuertsch, Owen J. Roberts

Fuertsch is one of the key players who carried the Wildcats to the first District 1 Class AAA championship in the school's 50-year history. Fuerstch scored 17 goals and distributed 13 assists as a senior.

Jackie Hibbs, Wissahickon

A natural, all-around athlete, the junior made the Trojans (18-5) go. She works hard with or without the ball. "Jackie didn't have a bad game," said Wissahickon's first-year coach, Lauren Luft.

Meghan McCullough, Plymouth Whitemarsh

McCullough, a senior, joined with Mollie Gotzfread to give the Colonials a strong midfield. McCullough, who plans to play for Quinnipiac next season, had 13 goals and 12 assists to lead her team to a 13-5 record under veteran coach Marianne Papparone.

Taylor Yoder, Souderton

When Indians coach Mary Ann Harris needed some experience to shore up a young defense this season, she turned to Yoder, a senior who played midfield and as a deep defender. Yoder, also a centerfielder for the Indians' softball team, was a four-year starter in field hockey. She's headed to La Salle.

Zoe Kale, Wissahickon

Kale helped lead a defense that carried the Trojans to an 18-4 record and a berth in the PIAA playoffs. The Trojans defense allowed just 36 goals and recorded five shutouts.

Emily Guthier, Central Bucks East

Guthier kept the Patriots in virtually every game they played. In a scoreless tie with Council Rock North, the senior made 35 stops. In a 3-0 loss to Central Bucks South, she stopped 22 shots. She's headed to to play for Haverford College, which has been a longtime dream of hers.
