Miles Overton and Steve Vasturia supplied the offense and St. Joseph's Prep rolled over visiting Penn Charter, 47-35, in a nonleague boys' basketball game Friday.

Vasturia, a junior bound for Notre Dame, dropped in 14 points and added eight rebounds. Overton, a junior guard, scored a game-high 18 points and grabbed nine boards.

Aaron Jackson scored a game-high 22 points to help visiting Martin Luther King knock off FitzSimons, 88-76.

Kyle Slawter recorded seven steals to help host Archbishop Ryan to knock off Bensalem, 50-44.

Despite scoring just two points, Slawter recorded a game-high seven steals. Brian Okolo scored all 12 of his points in the fourth quarter as the Raiders held on.

PAC-10/Sub. One Challenge. Brennan Rudnick drained a three-pointer at the buzzer as Central Bucks South knocked off Pottstown, 52-50, at Central Bucks West. Rudnick finished with a team-high 12 points.

Southern Lehigh Tournament. In his first career high school game, highly touted freshman Horace Spencer III recorded five points as William Tennent lost to Harriton, 53-40. The Rams rotated Itay Levy and Adesh Dasini to limit the 6-foot-8 Spencer, who battled foul trouble.

Shipley Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament. Zac Tillman scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help Shipley coast past Valley Forge, 61-34.

Media Shootout. Glen Mills watched its 16-point fourth-quarter lead disappear before clawing back to top host Strath Haven, 52-51.

Dyshawn Mack hit the game-winner on a tip-in with 9 seconds left in regulation. John Fender led Strath Haven's comeback by scoring 17 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter.

Radnor Tournament. Ed Allen grabbed nine rebounds and recorded 10 points to help Cardinal O'Hara ease past Radnor, 64-37.

West Catholic Tipoff Tournament. Carnel Harley, Mark Perez and Anthony Sleet each scored in double figures as West Catholic rocked Master Charter South, 65-35.

Plymouth Whitemarsh Tournament. Boston University-bound Maurice Watson dished out seven assists and Boys' Latin downed Neshaminy, 57-40. Watson's 21 points were a game high.

Washington Tournament. New Media Charter's second-half rally helped lift it over Ben Franklin, 52-42. Keenon Johnson scored 14 points to go along with his three steals.

Nonleague. Vermont signee Brendan Kilpatrick scored a game-high 17 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, to help Malvern Prep rout host Monsignor Bonner, 59-36.

Unionville Tournament. Trailing by 12 in the third quarter, Marple Newtown rallied to top Kennett, 58-55. Brian Sarcinello sank three three-pointers in the second half, and Pat McGee converted two late foul shots to seal the win.

Upper Darby Royal Classic. Nick Lindner dished out seven assists to go along with his game-high 29 points to help Germantown Academy top Del-Val Charter, 54-45. Julian Moore, a 6-9 junior center, brought down 16 rebounds for the Patriots.

West Catholic Tipoff Tournament. Malik Noel dropped in 16 points and Bartram eased past Prep Charter, 65-54. The Braves took charge in the third quarter, outscoring Prep Charter by 10 points behind a nine-point effort by Jared Bryant. 

Cheltenham Panther Tournament. Rasheen Mays' only basket of the game was a three-pointer with 30 seconds left to help Frankford hold off Abington Friends, 64-62.

Girls' Basketball

Springfield (Montco) rallied in the fourth quarter to top visiting Jenkintown, 35-32, in the Oreland Lions Tournament. Meghan Wheatly scored 12 points to lead the Spartans.

Cedar Crest Tournament. Senior guard Bridget Higgins started her season with 14 points to guide Mount St. Joseph over Cumberland Valley, 36-24.

Public League. With a strong second half, Franklin Towne Charter knocked off host Lincoln, 34-24. Larissa Smith scored 11 points for the Coyotes and was aided by Rebecca Gilburger's seven-point effort.

Muhlenberg Tournament. Kaitlyn Eisenhard and Brooke Mullen each hauled in eight rebounds to help Boyertown get past Garden Spot, 54-40.

Nonleague. Taniel Ruffin grabbed eight rebounds and poured in 19 points to help Masterman knock off visiting Franklin Learning Center, 32-27.

Catherine Matsolf scored all six of her points in the fourth quarter and Del-Val Friends held off visiting Academy of the New Church, 34-26.

Senior center Mary Newell scored a career-high 25 points as Villa Joseph Marie rolled over Neshaminy, 59-48.

Host Bishop Shanahan shot 6 for 7 from the foul line in overtime to rally for a 41-36 win over Sun Valley.

Pittsburgh Tournament. Fels tied the game twice at the buzzer before finishing off host Imani Christian in double overtime, 75-71.

Casey Bell hit a three at the end of regulation and Lester Mattox knocked down a jumper at the end of the first overtime. The Panthers shot 5 for 6 from the line in the second OT to secure the win. P.J. Scott dropped in a career-high 23 points for Fels.

Gabby Hartnett/Lady Bucs Shootout. Kelsey Allen's six assists set the pace for Interboro as it downed visiting Exeter, 48-18.

Hatboro-Horsham Hatters Tournament. Senior Raya Stearn grabbed 11 rebounds and scored 10 points and Nazareth Academy rocked Hatboro-Horsham, 52-39.

Springfield (Delco) Tournament. Junior center Alex Poplowski dominated the glass as she grabbed 12 rebounds in Springfield (Delco)'s easy 59-24 win over Penn Wood.

Chichester Tournament. Logan Newman and Haley Sipple each grabbed 10 rebounds to finish with double doubles as Chichester downed Strath Haven, 37-24.

Swimming

Jamal Williams broke the Penn Charter pool record for the 50-yard freestyle as the Quakers downed visiting Hill School, 109-71. The junior finished in 21.27 seconds, 0.14 seconds better than the previous mark.
