The Firebirds (29-1) snapped a 29-29 tie with a 16-7 fourth quarter, thanks to Jeff Ainsley's eight points. The senior forward finished with a game-high 13 points.
Tim Lazorko managed the offense as he dished out six assists and dropped in five points. Tom Heston added 10 points, five rebounds, and four assists as he asserted himself on the low post.
In the first half, Holy Ghost held Danville's Andrew Andreychik scoreless. The 6-foot senior guard entered the game averaging 23 points per game and finished with just nine.
Holy Ghost finished in first place in District 1 and Danville entered the tourney as District 4's top seed.
Also in the second round, Maurice Watson's late start was enough for Boys' Latin to put away second round foe Allentown Central Catholic, 65-63, at Norristown.
The senior guard scored 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win. He brings his career points total to 2,324 and sits in second place behind Maureece Rice for the Public League's all-time lead.
Yahmir Greenlee scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half to kickstart the Warriors offense. Derrick Stewart and John Davis' down low presence was too much for York Suburban, as Neumann-Goretti rolled, 89-52, in a Class AAA second round matchup in Reading.
Stewart grabbed 11 rebounds and dropped in 12 of his game-high 23 points in the first half. Davis added 13 rebounds and 16 points.
Billy Shank and La'Quan Coaxum both knocked down a pair of three-pointers and Ja'Quan Newtown dished out four assists.
The Saints pulled away in the second quarter and led by 28 points at the half.
Class A. Constitution's star power proved to be the difference as the Generals (20-9) rocked Williamsport's St. John Neumann, 81-47, at East Pennsboro.
Savon Goodman and Daiquan Walker, two of the city's top recruits, combined for 53 points and the District 12 champs opened the game on a 14-0 run.
Goodman finished with a game-high 32 points, 17 of which came in the first quarter. The 6-foot-6 senior small forward grabbed eight rebounds in the first half.
Walker, a 6-2 senior guard, knocked down three three-pointers and scored 14 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter.
Fajion Jones added 13 rebounds.
Also in the second round, Quadir Welton helped lift Math, Civics & Sciences over Sullivan County, 48-39, at East Pennsboro.
Welton droped in nine points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Malik Starkes chipped in with five steals and five assists.
Basil Thompson scored six of his game-high 11 points in the first quarter.
Faith Christian led for the entire game as it turned away Greenwood, 54-50, in the PIAA second round at Garden Spot.
The Lions opened the game on a 10-0 run. Greg Boyd led the way with a game-high 19 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
Also in the second round, Doolun Anyam helped Church Farm hold off New Hope Academy Charter, 56-46, at Garden Spot. He scored five of his 13 points in the third quarter as the Griffins put together a 15-8 quarter.

Haverford School picked up where it left off last season as the host Fords rolled over visiting St. Paul (Md.), 15-6, in the season opener.
Tyler Miller posted the win with four saves as he works to replace Connor Kelly, now at Notre Dame.
Henry Blynn led the offense with four goals and one assists. Gavin McBride added a pair of goals and Sam Rohr recorded a hat trick. McBride, a junior attack, recorded three assists.
The Fords are ranked No. 2 in the nation by ESPN Rise and finished last season as the nation's top team.
