Jen Howard's double-double on Monday propelled Del-Val Friends past visiting Mercy Vocational, 30-24, in a Tri-County League girls' basketball game.

Howard led the Dragons with 10 points, including four fourth-quarter free throws. The 5-foot-11 center also had a team-high 12 rebounds.

Mercy Vocational's Emma Shaw led all scorers with 12 points.

In other Tri-County League, Sarah Gordon and Sophia Shoulson each had eight points to pace Barrack Hebrew to a 33-22 victory in its season opener against visiting West-Mont Christian.

Julia Miller led West-Mont Christian with seven points.

Freshman Lilly Klee scored a game-high 20 points in her first contest for Kimberton Waldorf, which won, 46-24, at Woodlynde.

Marta Zarveka and Cheyenne Flores added 10 and nine points, respectively, in Kimberton Waldorf's opener.
