Christ the King at Archbishop Carroll, 1 p.m. This is the first game of the Blue Chip Tip-Off Classic and will feature the defending Class AAAA state champion in Carroll and the storied Christ the King (N.Y.) team.
Jan. 5
Episcopal Academy at Shipley, 10:45 a.m. We know Megan Quinn can play, but how will the Churchwomen fare against the defending Independent Schools state champions?
Jan. 9
Archbishop Carroll at Cardinal O'Hara, 7 p.m. This is one of the biggest rivalries in the area, and always a great game. Last season, the Lions defeated Carroll by a basket.
Jan. 10
Downingtown West at Downingtown East, 7:30 p.m. The first of two meetings between the Whippets and the Cougars is the fifth Ches-Mont National Division game of the season for the Whippets, who won the league a season ago.
Jan. 12
Mount St. Joseph at Spring-Ford, 1 p.m. Last season, these two teams had a combined record of 55-9, and both should have solid 2012-13 campaigns.
Jan. 25
Archbishop Wood at Cardinal O'Hara, 7 p.m. This is Catholic League matchup between the defending PCL and Class AAA state-champion Vikings and an O'Hara team with a wealth of talent.
Feb. 5
Notre Dame at Germantown Academy, 3:45 p.m. This battle between the Irish and defending league-champion GA could end up deciding the Inter-Ac champion.
Feb. 8
Council Rock South at Council Rock North, 8 p.m. The crosstown rivals will meet in a game that could decide who wins the Suburban One League National Conference. Bragging rights also will be at stake.
