Thurs. Pa. boys' and girls' roundup: McCloskey spurs GA to win

The senior forward was aided by freshman point guard Kendall Grasela's 10 points and four steals.

Tri-County. Christen Burdo scored 14 points and Nicole Tupillo had 12 to help Perkiomen School down host Kimberton Waldorf, 41-33.

Nonleague. Megan Barker's 13 points and eight rebounds led Collegium Charter to a 34-16 win over visiting Renaissance Academy.

Freshman Mainmuna Kenneh chipped in with 11 points and eight boards.

Gianna Pownall scored 13 points as Springside Chestnut Hill fell at Life Center (N.J.), 42-25.

Julia Schumacher chipped in with six points.

Crystal Simmons led the hosts with 13 points, and Elo Edeforioka and Aliyah June scored eight points each.

Boys' Basketball

Mark Gonzalez scored all 22 of his points in the first half as Pa. School for the Deaf fell to visiting N.Y. School for the Deaf, 57-42. The visitors used a box-and-one defense against Gonzalez in the second half.

Darryl Bryant's 18 points were not enough for Academy of the New Church as it fell to host St. Benedict's (N.J.), 93-53. Syracuse-bound Tyler Ennis scored a game-high 23 for St. Benedict's.

Boys' Bowling

Michael Horvath bowled a 264 game and a 662 series as Conwell-Egan blanked St. Joseph's Prep, 4-0, in a Catholic League match.

Also in the Catholic League:

Dan Matase bowled a 648 series to lift Father Judge to a 4-0 win over La Salle.

Pat Morgan's 202 game and 556 series helped Roman Catholic down Bonner-Prendergast, 4-0.
