Fri. Pa. girls' roundup: Souderton triumphs in double OT

With the game in her hands, Allison Gallagher seized the moment Friday and gave Souderton a 43-42 win in a marathon final of the Wissahickon Tournament.

Gallagher, who finished with a game-high 17 points, knocked down one of her two free throws with 15 seconds left in the second overtime to give Souderton its decisive one-point advantage.

Gwynedd-Mercy had forced the second OT when Jenna Raschiature drilled a three-pointer with two seconds remaining in the first overtime.

Sarah Derstein contributed to Souderton's stout defense, posting 10 rebounds, six steals, and four blocks.

Robert Hopf Tournament. When her team needed her most, Debornay Kidd-Wilkerson came through in Sacred Heart's 42-37 win against host Jenkintown in the tournament final.

Kidd-Wilkerson, who finished with nine points, scored seven of Sacred Heart's 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Lions held on for the win.

Emma Dorshimer scored a game-high 19 points in a losing effort.

In the consolation game, Springfield (Montco) topped Upper Moreland, 37-31, behind 12 points from Sara Daley.

Upper Dublin Cardinal Classic. Kayla McAneney scored 16 points to lead Upper Dublin, which hammered Villa Joseph Marie, 56-25, in the tournament final.

Curtrena Goff, who tallied 12 points, earned tournament MVP.

Marple Newtown Tournament. Jordan Ogden earned tournament MVP after leading Bishop Shanahan to a 41-31 win in the final against Delco Christian.

Ogden posted 18 points and 11 rebounds in the finale.

Bishop Shanahan's Rachel Parker earned all-tournament honors after recording eight points and 18 boards against Delco Christian.

In the consolation game, Rylee Power had 26 points and 10 boards to lead Marple Newtown to a 59-45 victory against Academy Park in the consolation game.

Jordan Matthews, who scored 14 points for Academy Park, earned all-tournament honors.

Spring-Ford Tournament. Megan McGurk and Kathleen Fitzpatrick packed the stat sheet and led Notre Dame to a 70-46 win against Central Bucks South.

McGurk finished with 30 points, five assists, and seven rebounds and Fitzpatrick posted 20 points, eight steals, and seven boards.

Sierra Corbett had 13 points and eight rebounds to lead Agnes Irwin past Oxford, 48-25.

Ellie Stief scored a game-high eight points in her first varsity game and Strath Haven crushed Octorara, 42-10.

Garnet Valley Tournament. Episcopal Academy cruised to a 54-25 win over host Garnet Valley in the torunament final.

Megan Quinn earned tournament MVP honors after scoring 11 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the championship game.

Quakertown Tournament. William Tennent's Allison Chatburn had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists, and the Panthers beat Quakertown in the tournament final, 56-31.

Lions Rotary Tournament. Lauren Killion collected 15 of her game-high 19 points in the first half for host Lower Moreland, which blew out Girard College in the tournament final, 62-16.

In the consolation game, Shappelle Brewton scored a career-high 20 points to lead Truman past Bristol, 70-44. Jazmyn Wilson added 13 points and 21 rebounds for Truman.

Ridley Christmas Tournament. M.K. Rumbaugh knocked down four threes to lead Ridley to a 46-32 win against Chester.

Daytona Beach Sunrise Classic. Bonner-Prendergast advanced to the tournament finals with a 52-47 win against Atlantic (Fla.).

Brooke Lachette pulled down eight rebounds and held Florida recruit Ronni Williams, ESPN's 13th-best player in the class of 2013, to 15 points.

All Girls Classic. Amarri Trueheart scored 11 points and Cheltenham topped Northeast, 36-32, at Arcadia University.

Cheltenham held off Northeast's second-half charge led by Lauren Wills, who scored 18 of her 21 points after the break.

Altoona Holiday Classic. Abington knocked off Pine-Richland, 45-35, in a consolation game.

Deja Rawls had 10 points and nine assists and Gabby Nolan posted 10 points and five steals.

Interboro Tournament. Lauren Huggins scored a game-high 20 points to lead Penncrest to a 51-40 win against West Catholic in a consolation game.

Boyertown Bear Classic. Kaitlyn Eisenhard's 25 points led Boyertown to a 60-39 win over Bangor.

Mercy High School Tournament. Merion Mercy received 16 points and 11 rebounds from Tina DiGiacomo in a 56-42 win over Mercy (Ca.).

Snear Tounrament. Alex Louin's well-rounded effort helped Mount St. Joseph pick up a 56-35 win against Lansdale Catholic and advance to the tournament final.

Louin finished with 21 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

In the finals, Mount St. Joseph will take on Pope John Paul II, which beat Norristown, 54-43.

Ellen Chernaski had 13 points in the win.

Bulldog Bash Tournament. Meghan Matthews scored 15 points and St. Hubert handled Flint Hill, 53-24.

Mifflin County Classic. Destiny Russell's 20 points guided Imhotep Charter to a 42-28 victory against Freire Charter.

Chantel Thomas scored 24 of Freire's 28 points in a losing effort.

Philly Consitution Tournament. Taniyah Faison posted a double-double in Frankford's 47-25 win over Motivation. Faison finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

Peach State Classic. Despite 18 points and four steals from Sox Alexander, Shipley fell to Blackman (Tenn.), 56-50.

Southern Lehigh Tournament. Pottsgrove received 11 points from Karly Conrad, but lost to Tamaqua in the consolation game, 46-33.

Wildwood Basketball Classic. Alex Poplawski had 16 points and 20 rebounds to lead Springfield (Delco) to a win over Lower Cape May in the championship of its bracket.
