Wed. Pa. boys and girls: Hill handles Hun

Brachman assisted on each of the freshman attack's four goals and added a score of his own.

The Blues took a 5-4 lead into halftime and held on for the win despite a 90-minute lightning delay in the second half.

Pat Carmody and Will Schantz each netted two goals for Hill School, and James Gould made 15 saves.

Catholic. Cardinal O'Hara raced to a 10-goal halftime lead and cruised to a 14-1 win over visiting Bonner-Prendergast. The Lions' Joe Simpson recorded a hat trick, and Sean McHugh had four assists. Goalie Tim Coyle made six saves and was one fourth-quarter goal away from a shutout.

Tyler Cliggett and Anthony Marini scored three goals apiece to pace St. Joseph's Prep in the Hawks' 16-6 win at Lansdale Catholic. Billy Savage added two goals and two assists. Mike Marchese and A.J. Simon combined to make 11 saves.

Inter-Ac. On Tuesday, Tommy O'Conner's five goals lifted Malvern Prep at Haverford School, 13-10. Reilly Hupfeldt's four goals and Gavin McBride's two led Haverford.

Girls' Lacrosse

Ava Schwemler's four goals proved just enough as Germantown Friends turned back host Germantown Academy, 12-11, in a nonleague contest.

The Patriots kept the game close despite being shorthanded for the final eight minutes. GA scored six shorthanded goals in all, including a hat trick by Emily VonHarcom.

In other nonleague action, senior Kitty Morrissey found the net four times and assisted on another goal to pace Springside Chestnut Hill to a 17-8 win over visiting Gwynedd Mercy.

Catholic. Six players scored multiple goals for St. Hubert as the Bambies won, 16-4, at Conwell-Egan. Emily Smith led St. Hubert with three goals.

Softball

On Senior Day, three seniors starred for Springfield (Delco) in a 15-0 win over Strath Haven in the Central League. Alexa Naughton, Mia Luciani, and Lindsay Matteo each went 3 for 3 on their day.

Public. Megan Elmer scored the winning run in the seventh inning of Philadelphia Academy Charter's 5-4 triumph over visiting Girls High.

Shaina Owen earned the win as host Engineering & Science defeated Parkway West, 14-3.

Tatiana Concepcion and Illeanne Gomez doubled as Mariana Bracetti defeated visiting Germantown, 14-4.
