Pa. Girls: Sat. Pa. girls: Ridley takes title

Bree Mulhern made sure the Ridley girls' basketball team didn't need to worry about a close finish Saturday. Her big second half lifted the Green Raiders to a 44-33 win over Oxford in the championship game of the Oxford Tournament.

Mulhern scored 17 of her 20 points in the second, and Ridley pulled away after leading by two at halftime.

Archbishop Ryan Tip-Off Tournament. Shayna Rodriguez hit four three-pointers in the first half, and Archbishop Ryan cruised to a 55-27 win over Springside Chestnut Hill in the championship. Rodriguez finished with 12 points. Danielle Skedzielewski scored 13 points, and Shannon Glenn added 11.

Nazareth Academy 52, New Foundations 19: Marissa Sylvester scored 13 points, giving her 33 for the tournament, to lead the Pandas.

Lady Warrior Classic. Alex Louin scored 24 points and had six rebounds to lift Mount St. Joseph's past host Methacton, 46-36, in the title game.

Souderton 46, Council Rock South 37: Allison Gallagher scored 15 points, and Briana Picard added 10 to pace the Bears.

Abington Tip-Off Tournament. Sarah Monaghan dumped in 25 points to earn MVP honors, and Alyssa Monaghan added 19 points and eight rebounds as Bonner-Prendergast downed Norristown, 66-41, to win the title.

Abington 57, Martin Luther King 18: Deja Rawls had 4 points, and Gabby Nolan chipped in with 12 points and six steals to power the Ghosts.

Gabby Hartnett Tip-Off Tournament. Kejohna Hammond's 18 points earned an MVP nod, and Baldwin topped Interboro, 57-45. Stacie Hallinan led Interboro with 20.

Math, Civics & Sciences 56, Bartram 41: Kyesha Fields erupted for 31 points for the Mighty Elephants.

Bristol Classic. Kristaijah Jackson's 21 points carried Truman to a 47-43 title game win over Conwell-Egan.

Lady Cougar Rotary. MVP Alysha Lofton scored 24 points, and Central Bucks South beat Penn Wood, 72-48, in the final at Springfield (D). Chloe Entenberg, who had 12 points, and Lofton were a combined 17 for 19 from the line in the fourth.

Springfield 37, Notre Dame 36: Madison D'Ambrosio made a layup with six seconds left to boost the Cougars.

Cross-Country

Unionville finished in seventh place and Pennsbury finished in 11th at the Nike Nationals in Portland, Ore. Unionville senior Courtney Smith finished the 5,000-meter course in 17 minutes, 49.90 for 10th place. Junior Olivia Young finished in 42nd place with a mark of 18:18.40. Pennsbury's Hannah Molloy, a sophomore, finished 51st in 18:25.
